I am unclear as to why this episode starts with us investigating intel on a 2nd Supergate ...I feel like dialing another galaxy would kind of work like dialing a planet (Like Earth in the past) that has 2 gates on it ...One gate would take the incoming connection while the other would just be dormant ...Soooooo... Who was stupid enough to think the intel on a 2nd Supergate was plausible enough to merit checking it out?? ...Cause someone deserves to get fired on this one ...added later... And bill the costs for Colonel Emerson's funeral 2. Nice little addition to the intro at the end there ...Vala is now OFFICIALLY. part of the team going up that ramp with them 3. UGH... These bad guys aren't evil enough ...This guy is telling Carter to shut down the beacon that's transmitting their location and Carter is like "Nah bish talk to the hand cause the face ain't listening" ...And so one of the dude's minions holds a gun to Colonel Emerson ....Now if this were me being the bad guy ...I'd have dealt with this in a different way ...I'd tell Carter "Shut down the beacon or I will kill another person" ...And I'd immediately follow up my threat by killing Emerson ...Then I'd follow it up with "For every 5 minutes you don't comply to my demand I'll off another member of your crew" ....Why are we dealing with THIS. guy and not some ACTUAL. bad guys instead?? ...added right after... Oh ok ..They just killed Emerson ...Welp... Sure took them longer than I needed to type ....Actually we both know that's not true ...I paused .....Moving on 4. Daniel to Vala about the ship they're in: "We gave you as much raw Naquadah as you needed and all you came up with was this piece of junk" ....Vala: "People's lives are at stake Daniel, Do you honestly think that I would cheap out on the ship and pocket the difference?" ....Me: Yes... A 100% YES. ....And I love Vala for it ...I mean ...I'd do the same ...Easy money ..That's a no-brainer 5. Yeah... Dude... You just told Daniel and Vala that Carter's life has been forfeited ...That's an OBVIOUS. bluff as she's apparently the ONLY. member of the crew that's capable of fixing the ship ......Which kinda makes the rest of the Odyssey crew come off as incompetent but.. Y'know... Whatevs 6. Wait hold up ...Ok so we just beamed the leader of this botched Die Hard situation into space and the next scene we've just taken back the ship??? The FUCK??? ...Oh and there's probably SOME. bad guys still hiding somewhere but meh??? ....Ok ...Odd way to wrap this up 7. Yeah that was a bit odd too ...Teal'c starts beating the shit outta this guy and then goes for Mitchell's throat: "I've grown weary of this torture Colonel Mitchell" ......Bish?? GHWAT. torture!?!?! Mitchell was fake torturing you the whole fucking time!! ...And other then that you look completely fine! ...You've been in MUCH. worse situations ...The ONLY. torture you had to "endure" was having to stand there in chains the entire time ...Someone hand Teal'c a Snickers bar! He's acting like a real diva 8. Soooo... We declared war on the Lucian Alliance huh? ....Man ...The Goa'uld.. The Ori ...The Wraith.. The Asurans ...........And nooooow the The Lucian Alliance ...Why do I feel like we just declared war on some insignificant group of people?? ....After ALL. those enemies we've fought and continue to fight ...THESE. guys are somehow ALSO. a threat to us??? ...Come on son!

2024-06-18 06:47:04 +0000 UTCYou know, i think its rude they decided to cancel the show as soon as Vala became a main character. How dare they prevent us from seeing more Vala?? I thought this episode was ok too. I enjoyed it but its not a great episode.

It's not enough we just had an entire episode centered around her, we keep getting more and more of her in these episodes.... Just kidding :) Yes, I love Vala in this show. She brings a much needed humour that's been missing since Jack has left the show. She also adds some fun and excitement!

2024-06-14 17:04:00 +0000 UTCI just came from funnylilgalreacts who is screaming "I love space shit" to you having the exact opposite reaction to spaceship episodes. I thought this episode had some great moments although the Lucian Alliance is just a notch above the Jaffa as far as I'm concerned.
