I think the idea is that it's a private agreement between the people involved. They had a discussion and agreed to this "trial basis". Later, if they want to make it official they would start legal proceedings. Until then though, the aunt/legal guardian could still pull the plug on this whenever she wants. I don't know what happens. Everything has been brand new to me with you since Season 4. The guy Richard and John were defending for killing his wife, was Ward's brother on Agents of SHIELD.

Adoption... IVF... Yeah ofcourse this being Ally McBLTSandwich we're gonna end up with Ally getting her way and Hayden moving in ...But in reality I highly fucking doubt that it'd be THIS. easy to gain custody over a kid that's "yours" but one you didn't previously even knew existed ...This episode ends with Hayden staying with Ally ...But in reality there SHOULD. have been a FUCKTON. of paperwork involved and custody hearings aswell ...They just skipped ALL. of that for the sake of giving Ally a kid 12. Another thing that's also a very good argument here which you've brought up ...They don't KNOW. Ally ...And here the aunt is like "For all we know you could be an axe murderer" ....Well... Ally is NOT. an axe murderer ...But she IS. clinically insane ...Prone to hallucinations ...Realistically she is NOT. fit to be a mother ...But again ...The show doesn't give a shit about that ...They want Ally to have a kid ...So lunacy be damned 13. Ok.... I feel like singing this song that has the lyrics "Ain't that a kick in the head" is kind of in poor taste at the moment ...I mean sure they just won this case ...But a woman is still dead 14. 2024-07-06 06:39:09 +0000 UTCSee what happens when they ignore all the newcomers and just focus on the OG cast? They actually made a pretty good episode. The only reminder we got of the new cast was Cyclops singing. Still though, where's my Lucy, dammit?! I wouldn't have recognized Hayden just from the face alone. She is really young here. But you got that shit down straight out the gate! The murder trial was actually decent because it created tension between John and Richard and actually provided growth for Richard. Of course though, the premise was absolutely ridiculous. I wonder sometimes how the writers come up with their ideas. Like someone in the writer's room said "ok, so the guy will be on trial for killing his wife because he kicked her in the head but it will turn out that he has tumor that made him see a soccer ball." Then the showrunner says "ok yeah, let's go with that." Sure, ok then.... It is a bit shaky, the legal logistics of Ally's daughter all of a sudden staying with her. Yes, she is technically the biological mother but she can't just be taken away from her legal guardian. There would have to be a court proceeding or at least an order signed by a judge. I know, it's a TV show but it is also a legal drama. You would think they would at least consider that part of it. Hopefully this episode is a sign of better things to come the rest of this season.
