I suppose to set him apart from the old show with teen Max perhaps and to really convey that THIS. version of Max is more grown up? ...And although Nathan Parsons DOES. have a significant amount of tattoos ...The ones seen on the show are apparently NOT. the same he has in real life 2. Ok... This is kinda weird to me ..So we've learned in the pilot that Liz came back to Roswell after having been gone for 10 years ...This means Rrrosa has been dead for at LEAST. that long ...Yet in this scene we find that Rosa's bedroom is still COMPLETELY. the way it was 10 years ago??? ...Now ..I get it ...You need time to grieve and all that ....But... It's been 10 YEARS!!! ...Why hasn't Liz's dad turned this room into something more useful? ....As a guy... I'mma tell you straight up ...If I suddenly found myself having a spare room ...I'd turn that bish into a proper home theater or SOMETHING. that would be useful to me 3. Right... So Soldier Dude is Alex's dad... I wasn't sure since Alex's last name was Whitman on the old show and not Manes like it is on this show (Manes IS. Alex's last name in the books by the way ..Another thing the old show got wrong) 4. Froots ...It's not uncommon for sisters to BOTH. have the same friend(s) ...Apparently Maria used to hang out with Rosa ..But Maria was also friends with Liz ..It happens ....I wouldn't recommend it though ...Cause what if your sibling and their friend have a falling out ...Would it be fine to still be friends with that person.. Would it be worth it to create a rift between you and your sibling? ...None of this applies to the show I don't think ...But I'm just saying that it's not uncommon and I'm guessing Maria was friends with BOTH. the Ortecho sisters 5. Soooo... We learn a little bit more about Liz's fiance ...They didn't connect? ...And so she just left his ass?? Does he KNOW. she's gone?? Does he care?? I'd like to know more before I call "cheater" (Since IF. the guy has no idea where Liz went and still believes he's in a relationship ...Liz has been hooking up with both Kyle and Max) 6. You called out that the background changed while Max and Liz were talking ...What you DIDN'T notice was that the camera angles changed too ...Hence why in one shot the background behind Max was orange cause of some blurry lights in the background and then in the next shot of him (2 seconds later) it was dark since the angle of the shot had changed ...And no ...The lights didn't turn off ...Since a moment later he's seen walking away and we get a close up shot of Liz with the same orange lights in the background ...I'm just pointing this out since I'mma have to edit this in a bit and I'm gonna have to somehow make the scene work since I like to incorporate important scenes into my edits while ALSO. NOT. making my bestie look like a total dum dum ...That part is always difficult ofcourse ...Kidding ...A little bit 7. Why was Max freaking out at the end of the episode? ...My interpretation is that his crush just accused him of murdering her sister ...I feel like maybe that had something to with it ...I guess perhaps we'll find out next time ...On The Originals

2024-08-12 20:06:55 +0000 UTCI thought this was a good episode, we seem to have found out why Max lied about seeing Rosa that night, he didn't want to give Liz more stories about Rosa being drunk and high. Unless there's more to learn of course. That moment with Noah and Isobel was sweet. I like that Kyle is not giving Max's name to Manes, even though he doesn't like Max and he's worried he might be dangerous, he doesn't know for sure, so he's not giving him up, innocent until proven guilty as he said. I'm glad your enjoying the show, I look forward to the next episode.

2024-08-07 10:17:59 +0000 UTCI liked this episode. It continued the plot. We know more about Rosa, and now max knows that Liz thinks heβs involved, so that will be interesting. There are still a few heavy-handed lines, but overall itβs still really fun. Excited to watch the next episode and the rest of the season!
