Lostbetl 6 wip- Fragments #7 The Spider's thread

This story about Moriarty kinda got bloated but I said what I wanted to say with it so I'm satisfied.

Hope you guys don't mind my little break from canon.

I was thinking about Guda making a joke about "WHY DIDN'T WE BRING ORION INSTEAD" since he's stationed at the Nautilus but the thing is, Orion wouldn't have been able to save Coral. Moriarty managed to do that because he knows how to play people.

MAN the way you spin (hah!) the spiderweb metaphor is truly delightful. Lovin your Moriarty voice, scheming yet far from all-knowing. I understood you Guda I too am weeping over the fact that something could be saved even in this absolute hell of a world. That last butterfly got me [clenches chest.] Despite everything stuff can be saved!! Despite everything the world change and grows!!

First things first, you did a wonderful job showing what tapestry Moriarty created with his web throughout Britain. Sure it wasn't perfect, and it caught a bigger bug than he was expecting, but even then, I'm happy that at the end, he tried to do one last good thing for the lost souls that would soon be swallowed up by the endless calamities raging throughout the land. One small soul. That's all he could save, all he could do in these intense moments before the end of Fairy Britain. Yet, his impact would be mightier than scaling the tallest mountains. For saving at least one soul helped saved his own. Side note, I do love what you did for Aurora's death as well. Just a bit different, but the end result still has her get the just punishment for being the grade A total queen bitch of bitches in the entirety of Type Moon. Which is an achievement, which only meant she got a fitting karmic punishment.

Ah the old schemer really gets too sentimental sometimes, doesn't he?

Wojciech Oleksów

Nice change.I wonder how moriarty reacted to oberon’s scheming, the butterfly has to give a bow to the moth, he may be no mastermind, but Oberon was good

This is my canon now *inhale unhealthy amount of copium*

It's an interesting story, and I like the idea that a prophecy can be technically fulfilled without having it followed to the letter, or even considering what happens after. There's this one book I read where someone was prophesied to die, and they did...and then afterwards they were able to revive themselves, technically fulfilling the prophecy. Good story.

granted he saved her for our sake, but he'll never admit that

I love Coral so I'm happy with this

Stuart C Wright

That was genuinely beautiful, I love Moriarty and seeing him try and save someone who's not us means a lot.

Then, when Morgan gets summoned, the spell will be undone and Coral will be back to normal. She'll probably become part of the Chaldean staff, becoming the Siduri to Goredolf's Gilgamesh.

Thank you 😭

In a more campy AU Morgan could probably undo the magic and we'll have Coral back, be it human size or Tinkerbell size for the lols, but I feel for Punished Ritsuka she'll stay a butterfly, a sort of bittersweet reminder.

Nah, no problem w/ the canon break - this is interesting and a fun read, no matter how you slice it.

Would have been nice if we could have saved coral. I've seen fan art of her effectively become a P.A on the ship :)
