New Show Replacement Poll!

I need to find at least one replacement show. Perhaps two.
Below is a poll of TV shows I am interested in pursuing further, please vote honestly and leave a comment as to why you voted for said show but do not spoil.
I will very likely react to the winning show but I will only commit to one season of said show unless I really enjoy it then it will probably become a regular show as Person Of Interest & Chuck did.
Person Of Interest is also coming to an end soon and I'll be taking the votes from this poll into consideration for that shows replacement as well.
tldr; I will probably react to the top three winners of this poll.

I think one legal drama/thriller she would like is "How to Get Away with murder" Such an amazing show with so many twists and mysteries to solve. Highly unlikely she reacts to it, but I think she would like it.

Upload is awesome and unique and there's almost no reactions to it sadly. What if season 2 has a certain episode that I love so much. The Gifted is also good and I miss them. Love the powers. Shadowhunters is also good. It's really hard to choose. Im going to choose Upload because the other shows are more popular and I want to see more Upload reactions

I only wanted to make my original comment and leave it at that. Just a comment...Just a comment. This has really spiralled beyond the intent of just a casual comment.

2024-10-24 22:35:18 +0000 UTCIt would still mean skipping a bunch of episodes of another show (The Practice) just to set up Boston Legal. There's probably people who actually love The Practice and would perhaps want to be able to watch reactions to it in full instead of some random episodes. But like I already said, neither Boston Legal nor The Practice are part of the poll so this entire debate is meaningless. :)

2024-10-24 16:32:29 +0000 UTCThat doesn't really work with reactions plus it might work for you but there's other people who are also fans of shows who would love to see all episodes be reacted to. And side note, Ally wasn't really popular on the channel to begin with so to add another show like this to the roster wouldn't be the best choice to make if we're purely talking business-wise.

2024-10-24 16:15:52 +0000 UTCSo here's how that's not going to happen. 1. She didn't like Ally McBeal all that much, so that's not a selling point. 2. Her legal knowledge is spotty at best and although legal dramas are probably not as high on her dislike list as things like westerns or black and white shows, they're still not that high on her list and so to suggest a show that's even more about legal issues (and less "funny" if you can even call Ally McBeal funny) than the show she could barely get through and only did as a sense of obligation since it was an "editors pick" is probably not a great selling point either. 3. We generally don't skip episodes, so to suggest making a giant leap into the 8th season of a show iiisssss... questionable at best? Imagine having no context to who the characters are you're watching, no clue as to what kind of story elements they're dealing with due to having skipped most of the show. There would be zero emotional investment to any of it. Any true fan of a show who would want to see a reaction would want to see reactions to all of it, not just random episodes out of order to get to some kind of conclusion or to get to yet another show entirely. 4. The random episode of The Practice was added last minute, it was done since it was a crossover with Ally. If this weren't the case, she wouldn't have watched it unless, over time it were selected but it'd be somewhat doubtful we'd get that far unless she all of a sudden would find the out of character urge to really enjoy watching another legal drama show. All that said though, Boston Legal isn't on the poll. So none of this matters.

2024-10-24 12:45:47 +0000 UTCIn fact I would want to add an addendum of starting with The Practice 8x13 - 8x22, as the back half of the final Season was a backdoor pilot for Boston Legal. She also had watched The Practice 2x26 crossover episode with Ally McBeal without having seen all of the episodes that came before it. I love Boston Legal. And I feel it is more palatable than The Practice.

And it was a tough call for me between my top 7, but I went with Cloak & Dagger, even though it doesn't seem to stand a chance at winning! Maybe I should have gone with Alias...though that one doesn't stand much of a chance either

2024-10-22 16:47:54 +0000 UTCAlias is in my top 5 shows and I've never seen anyone react to it yet. Haven't revisited it and I never saw most or all of Season 4 as that's when I moved to the US and the Philippines was always 1 season behind so I went straight to the final season.

2024-10-22 16:17:15 +0000 UTCIโm sad 12 Monkeys isnโt on the poll, but perhaps one day. For now, I voted Psych because I genuinely just think itโs a really fun show with a lot of great characters. I know you will have a lot of fun with this show if you continue. My second choice from this poll would be Heartstopper. Itโs really just a fun, lighthearted, feel-good, cheesy LGBTQ story that is just adorable in every way. Plus, itโs really short. You would fly by it in no time.
