Superman & Lois S04E10 - It Went By So Fast FULL REACTION (SERIES FINALE)

Thank you for following me on this journey! It's the end of an era, the end of the Arrowverse is here. It feels like it went by so fast, even if you've only watched Superman & Lois with me. It's been a joy to have witnessed it alongside all of you. I hope you all have a good one and perhaps I'll see you around.

This reaction was better than the episode! LOL it was all going so well then the train swerved into shitsville, off a cliff, don't get me wrong I absolutely adore this show and all the performances were top tier, I have cried/laughed and yelled at my TV watching this but... they did a bit too much with the finale, two random dudes saying goodbye to their Superdad! Jordan didn't even have curly hair! And guess what its still better than Arrow/Flash/Supergirl final seasons.

John Henry/Steel pretty much always had a cape and the symbol in the comics, just so you don't think it was random lol. The way they changed his story in the show it definitely wouldn't have made sense for him to have them from the beginning. Jon and Jordan both have versions of Conner Kent superboy suits, Jordans is the new 52 one, and Jons is basically his first/original suit.

I felt the finale was pretty solid like they left no loose ends & for the most part they tied up everything & they did what they could with most of the cast being gone from the show for this last season. I don’t care that they did a time skip like it’s the last season & there tying up Supermans legacy what’s it matter ? & it’s Superman he’s a homebody sappy guy at heart you know this. I loved Clark having to fight Doomsday & Luthor & Doomsday still had a little bit left of the other Clark from the other world in there like he suffered so damn much getting addicted to that drug thing on his planet, then traveling all the way to another earth only to get killed 2 times then turned into doomsday by Luthor. I cried at the end I liked it lol compared to like how Flash ended this was on par with the Arrow finale for me like they did flash forward shit too & so did Flash

The special "cameo" was a real letdown. Since this was the end of the CWverse, there were many actors who deserved to have made an appearance, even if it was an after episode moment where they might have thanked the fans and said goodbye. That said, it would have been better to not have played up that cameo as something special, which it was not.

What do you mean, you don't know these 2 people playing the old Jonathan and Jordan. Playing Jonathan IS Nick from Grimm. LOL I was OK with the ending. I will say I liked it better until the astral Clark leaving his body. I think they kind of stopped the emotional moment from being a sad one but I get why they did it. They didn't want the end on a sad note but instead one of hope. After all, that's what the S stands for on his chest. The Super family flying shot was kewl. I liked Doomsday remembering who he is at the sun long enough to let Clark end him. But it did mean Superman killed, a Superman legacy No-No. Better if Doomsday had nodded, turned around and fly in on its own. I did like Mannheim getting revenge on Luther and even dead Clark forgiving a remorseful Luther. Cancer reoccurrence is extremely common years after its remission.

I understand why you felt the ending was a let down. The thing you have to remember though is, Superman was always about the simple things in life. Family, being a boy scout and as he put it, being a dork. Ending on a sappy note like that is totally 100% Clark. I know modern audiences have a problem sometimes, because we have been exposed to darker Superman stories but this was classic Superman all the way.

Yes, I clinked and drinked. Hearing you talk about Arrowverse and Alternate universes then see you pouring Coke to drink. I was like, WTH, we got Alternate universe Shan doing this reaction.

I actually thought the opposite to you Shan, I thought the first half was the weak end, as it seemed to end very abruptly while the second half was a nice conclusion. It was emotional, it tied things up nicely. Only seeing the boys in their suits briefly was all I needed, the show is called Superman and Lois after all so the focus needed to be on their conclusion. Overall I think this was one of the better if not the best of the Arrowverse shows finales, and by far one of the best final seasons.

Also, just fyi, I clinked with your glass. Just wanted you to know that.

Yeah, I was crying during Clark's monologue. It's like I said in my comment looking back on the show, we've had such a complete view of the lives this version of Lois and Clark had lived, that seeing it truly end with their last days, hit me like a ton of bricks. I think this show has also earned the somewhat cheesy goodbye in the afterlife, cause there's still alot of sincerity in that scene. Having adult actor's for Jon and Jordan was a bit offputting but I also think it's fun, they cast David Giuntoli as Jon as he played Nick on Grimm. And they did get Alex Garfin and Mike Bishop for the afterlife scene for the goodbye, so that worked fine for me. But yeah, ending the show the same way it started, with a monologue from Clark talking about the people that matter in his life, got to me. For me, this was a wonderful way of ending this show. Superman gets to have a cheesy ending.

Arrow was among the "first shows" here. Wow, quite the journey watching it all! Congrats! And truly this time, no more "when arrow". Did we get the year right in the end? I forget :)
