I waited 7 1/2 years on the transplant list before I got my transplant, so watching Izzie's actions in this episode makes me physically angry. Fire her. Send her to prison. Get her off my screen. I wouldn't be here to comment if some doctor had stolen the liver meant for me.
Burke needs to be fired too. He should have called the chief, another doctor, or even security the second he suspected Izzie was up to something.
I did love George's speech to the girl's parents. They needed to hear it. Their daughter may be gone, but she can still save many lives.

The heart is still usable after death for about 4 hours, especially since the nurses were doing chest compressions which maintain a small amount of blood flow.
Actually there have been cases where a brain dead pregnant woman's body was used to incubate a fetus long enough for it to become viable outside the womb. The have have over 30 successful cases of this.
Yes, I am shocked Baily let Izzy stay continue to treat Denny . This is not good.
Poor Dog, always sad to see someone'd beloved pet get sick to the point of no hope.
Holy crap, she cut the damn wire. Stupid Izzy, Stupid. And of course Burke gets shot so he can't save him.

From my comments last episode, Nightingale Effect is where a caregiver develops romantic or sexual feelings for a patient. This can happen even if there is little communication outside of basic care

Yeah... this episode is something. Long-time Grey's fans like myself will always remember the LVAD incident, and it still gets memed to this day. Despite the craziness of the episode and the way everyone is acting, I will never not love the "What about me" scene with Izzie and Denny. I was so impressed by Kathrine Heigl, her acting is phenomenal, and that scene is actually what won her the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2007, which I think was well deserved.

Yeah this was a CRAZY episode. I’m going to put it down to the stress of so many gunshots victims all at the same time, but they were all acting out of character here or just making absolutely insane decisions.
It’s a sad moment and don’t really love that storyline in general but i really love the “the only people that don’t know that Derek loves Meredith are Derek and Meredith” line.
I hate hate hate Izzy so much. I already did, but man her behaviour in this episode is just something else. Goes so far beyond medical malpractice and unethical medicine.
I also feel like while it’s not his fault at all, George should have stopped her. I know he was probably confused and in shock, but man he should have stopped her. He realised soon enough I think that he could have stepped in. She spent a bit of time hovering the scissors over the tube. Also yes, what a cliffhanger! Very excited about the schedule change. Thank you!
