This is the most jarring time jump. Yes, I agree that Alicent recast was perfect. Larys Stong (little finger 2.0) had his father and brother killed for the queen. And as a result should inherit Harrenhal and the strong household.

2025-02-09 16:40:15 +0000 UTCin the books they donβt give a whole lot of details about how dragons hatch, who they will hatch with or why they donβt hatch at all for some people, even though they are all doing the same thing for everyone. π€·π»ββοΈthe book this is being pulled from is a history book with a lot of second or third hand βheresayβ. this was mentioned in GOT, you might remember the dance of dragons that Princess Shireen mentioned. as far as pacing and time jumps they wanted to give us as much information as they could but as main plot points are years apart, i guess they did what they had to do
