I think these 2 episodes were really good because they delved more into the characters of Light and L. Not only because L showed his face but we got to see more about how he thinks and analyzes things. Also, Light has proven that not just criminals are in harm's way in his master plan. I think it's ironic, because Light doesn't see it in himself, that he is just as bad, if not worse than the people he is executing. If there was another person with a Death Note that had the same motivations as he did, Light would be targeted as well, because he himself is now a killer. But he thinks he has righteousness on his side. The characters are very complex, intelligent and well written.
