I think the comedy takes some getting used to and time to find itself but once it gets there it reminds me most of HIMYM with the inside jokes/bits that feel like a warm hug whenever they come up.

I don' think I could come up with a name for the dinosaur if I unearthed one, I'm terrible at naming things. The first thing that popped into my head when you asked the question was Rexy, which I feel like is a terrible name. To answer your question about when I realized I started loving the show, it wasn't season 2, although I do think it was better, it was after season 3, that I came to that realization.
