These weren't my favorite episodes, Dalek and Cybermen episodes aren't always my favorites. I do appreciate when they try to do something different with them, which this did. I also wanted things to work out for Tallulah and Laszlo and it was cool seeing Andrew Garfield, but I didn't love the episodes.

The make-up on Dalek Sec is still really cool all these years later, and the way they control the eye and tentacles on the head. As the Doctor and Martha are leaving New York, Doctor is keen to leave because- Doctor: "There's going to be some odd people moving into New York now that the Daleks are gone. First we've got four mutant reptiles and their rodent dad moving into the sewers, learning kung-fu or something like that to be 'Heroes in a half shell'. Then Frank (Andrew Garfield) is joining a group of people wearing spiders on their chests and climbing up walls, a big hole in the sky is going to appear with an alien army, but they'll be stopped by weirdos in costumes to 'avenge' it. But the oddest thing is that there's going be some creepy guy who looks like me going after a woman called Jessica Jones".

2025-02-26 11:17:00 +0000 UTCAgree that this is not the best Doctor who Episode... but Dalek Sec looks so amazing that i can appreciate that. I feel so much sympathy with Martha in this episode. She really needed the conversation she had with Tallulah, she needed to admit how she felt about how The Doctor has been treating her. QUESTION Also are you following a watch order for Doctor Who series 3 and Torchwood series one? (I can delete this part of my comment if needed)

Laszlo was originally supposed to die in this episode Russell T. Davies asked Helen Raynor to change this, as he felt the development was too depressing for the show's ethos. Helen Raynor was deeply upset by the fandom's negative reaction to the two-parter, prompting RTD to console her. Yea nah yea not a favourite of mine, I usually skip on a rewatch, DT great as always.
