Inheritance Progress Report 3/18/19
Added 2019-03-19 01:51:54 +0000 UTCAll things considered, today was a pretty good day.
I woke up feeling a little sick and really sore. (Not that I'm feeling better now.) but I still waded right into work. I added two new scenes to the game today, one each for Anna and Eve, I wrote a little pregnancy content that I wont be able to add until our coders can set up the clock to track pregnancy progression, and I wrote a bit of content for the fishing. All in all, it was a fairly productive day.
Last night I posted a link for a live stream with the artist who does our background art. It sounds like a few of you lurked, and one of you even visited with our artist for a little bit. To whoever visited with the artist, they mentioned they enjoyed your company very much, and to everyone who showed up, they had fun creating for an audience. So thank you all for taking the time to check out their creative process.

It is what it is. Twelve years later, I still have trouble getting around because of it, but the trade off is that I get to do this for a living, and I can honestly say that I've never had a job that I enjoy so much. I don't know if I'd call it "Decent money" but it's enough to pay the bills with just a little wiggle room, and so long as things can trend upward, it will only get better. I'd be doing a lot better, but I try to put between a third and half of my earnings back into these projects in the form of art and such, so that can tighten up the budget pretty quickly most months. I'm looking forward to when my wife finds a job again, once that happens, we should be pretty comfortable. The artist seemed to enjoy the company he had, so I'm hoping it will happen again soon. I think the biggest restriction to how often they will do those kinds of streams will be how much art I can afford to commission each month. From this particular artist, I tend to do 4-6 pieces most months, but budget permitting I'd love to do a lot more than that.

2019-03-20 15:42:40 +0000 UTCAhah yeah, kids don't help you avoid whatever's going around xD. It sucks to hear that man, your back is one of the last things you want to mess up... but yeah silver lining is you're writing again... and getting some decent money for doing it. Haha no worries, I understand that... I'm quite a bit of a night owl myself... but not if the next day is work day xD. No promises needed, I understand haha ^-^.

2019-03-20 15:36:14 +0000 UTCI have kids in school, so they bring home all kinds of neat stuff to infect me with, . . . . :P I never used to get sick, or almost never. Then I messed up my back and ended up mostly bed ridden for years (Granted, that's what got me writing again, so it's kind of a win, right?) and it just killed my immune system. I still don't get sick as often as the rest of my family, but I come pretty close. I can't control when the artist is going to work, but I know they're a bit of a night owl. I asked them to give a little more warning though, so hopefully we'll be able to plan for a stream a little better in the future. No promises though. ;)

2019-03-20 15:09:26 +0000 UTCGlad to hear it ^-^. Haha, it's when you feel safe from avoiding an illness that you're most at risk. I'm quite lucky, I don't get ill even when around others who are... still prefer not to risk it though haha. Aye that would be appreciated, hopefully not 4am for me too xD

2019-03-20 14:03:58 +0000 UTCI'm getting there slowly but surely. I think I'm mostly better at this point. Honestly, everyone else in the house had it about a week before and I thought I'd managed to dodge it. Guess I wasn't quite so lucky. :P The artist said that they enjoyed it quite a bit, and they mentioned wanting to do it again some time. They're supposed to shoot me a message (Hopefully with a bit more warning) when they want to do it again, and I'll gladly drop a little post again for all of you.
