To twitter, or not to twitter?

As all of you know,  I'm always looking for new ways to grow our fan base and bring our games to more people.

I've been talking with a few people today about the possibility of starting a Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram account related to Aftermath Games.  It's been mentioned that doing so could turn into another source of traffic for us.

So what I'd like to ask all of you; Is this something that you would like to see?

If there's more than a few people who would like to see something like this, then I'll likely give it a try, see if it helps us get a little more traffic.  If it works out, great, I'll expand on it.  If it doesn't then all I'm out is a little bit of time.

I would really love to hear people thoughts.  Vote your honest opinion, and share your thoughts, ideas, and opinions in the comments below.

I am truly amazed at how evenly the poll is balanced. At the time I made this comment, it's a nearly perfect bell curve. 7/11/34/11/6

I figured I would handle it much the same as the Patreon page. Come in a couple of times a day to try replying to messages. I don't have any plans to become heavily vested in it time wise. I'll keep your comments in mind moving forward.

Using Twitter isn't a bad idea, but I would set two ground rules: Keep it strictly about your games and ignore bad faith criticism. Twitter is extremely addictive and sometimes you just need to turn it off for a while so you don't get too emotionally invested. Use the mute function if you have to and should the worst happen and you get dogpiled, just wait for things to cool off (they always do).

Thanks for the advice. I'm always looking for new ways to reach people, and since there's no real guide for this kind of work, it's through trial and error that I tend to learn. The poll suggests that there is at least some interest in something like this, so I will try it out and see what happens. ;)

The question about anti-social media is always a bit different when you run a firm.If you are seeking to broaden your audience then the voting do not make any sense. Well, try to avoid getting bitten ;)

In this case it would be a good idea then. If you guys decide to create one I'll follow :)

Thanks for the comment. I was told that Twitter would be a good starting point for it. I understand that as with most any social site, you have to be at least a little careful about the kind of content you post. I typically avoid using a lot of phrases or words that might get me flagged if Patreon ever decided to tighten their rules a bit just to be safe even.

Twitter is kinda complicated. It's a way more personal site than patreon and I've seen some Twitter accounts for adult games being taken down for violation of community rules. I would follow tho.
