Last Stand of Ra: Art Breakdown.

In the latest build of Last Stand of Ra, we introduced a new character: Amun. Well, I've got art for him now!

The character was a fun one to develop. Part priest, part pimp, and part loan shark. Small in stature and truly massive in ego.

Now, on to the art breakdown.

This first image is a hyrogliphic representation of the character for context:

How, when asking to have this piece done for Last Stand, I told Etzy that he should be short, shorter than anyone else in the room, but that his massively tall hat should stand above anyone else in the room at the same time. I told her that Amun is the kind of man who can somehow look down his nose at someone twice his size.

This first sketch is beside Hathor to show scale:

I REALLY loved the way she captured the character's arrogance and superiority in the image. I asked for no changes and gave her the green light to continue.

This next one is the flat colors. Just like the sketch, I loved it and gave the green light to continue without need for changes.

This final one is the version that will be appearing in the game, detail work and final colors have been done. The artist admitted that she had a lot of fun with this one, and I openly admit that I think it turned out incredibly well.
