General Update
Added 2017-06-02 14:28:08 +0000 UTCThought I'd get you all up to speed on what's been happening the last couple of days:
The background artist for Wanton Cove has backed out of the project. He was working for free, and real life rared its ugly head. I wish him the best, and he's been kind enough to write me a guide for how the background images are done in the hopes that I can complete what needs to be done.
The foreground artist is doing some great work on the Taint ending pieces. Additionally, I've spoken with them and they have agreed to continue working on the game, creating 2-3 pieces of art for Wanton Cove each month. So long as I continue seeing good growth on Patreon, I'll keep dumping money into commissioned art.
Wrote a couple more minor scenes I need to drop into the game, but it wasn't substantial enough to justify its own post, so I'm mentioning it here. Will continue writing some of those small scenes for the rest of my vacation.
So far, no red flags from any of my testers, so it looks like we're still on track for a release next weekend.
I'm reaching a point where I'm looking forward to getting home. As soon as I can get Wanton Cove all caught up to where I want it again, I'm pretty excited to start working on Inheritance a little again. ;)

Life happens I suppose. Its a bit of a bummer, but at least the artist took the time to create a guide for me. He did the work for free and did most of the key locations though, so I really can't complain too much. :P This probably means there wont be a LOT more background art added to the game, but I intend to do my best to complete the base set at the very least assuming I don't stumble across someone else who is willing/able to do some background images.
