General Progress Report

Spent some time working on pretty much everything BUT Wanton Cove today.  But that's not all bad.


Inheritance:

Spent a little over an hour working on this today.  Almost exclusively "Time" related stuff.    Found the source of a bug that was causing time to not progress properly (Typo in the code, . . . you'd be amazed how hard those are to find sometimes.)  Also started coding the "Wait" option into the game so that players can pass time as they see fit, but came across a hangup on that front so sent out messages to consult better minds than my own.  


Aftermath:

microteller (The new coder who has started joined Aftermath Team) is doing an incredible job.  They've built vending machines that can be used in all of our projects (Basically, coding them in such a way that they can be dropped into any future project that we can use a vending machine in.  Kind of a one size fits all thing to make the groundwork for future projects much easier.)  Since we only had one "Drink" item currently coded into the game, I took about an hour to code a few more into the game (There are ten drink items now written into the game.) so that we can actually test it out (Stock it with random items, random quantities, and just to make sure it works in the first place.)  My attention remains on Wanton Cove and Inheritance for the time being, any work I do on this front will be whatever we need in order to test new mechanics along the way.



The rest of it:

Should have a little more time either tonight or tomorrow to work on things.  If I get some help with the Inheritance stuff, that time will be spent on that.  If not, then the time will be invested in Wanton Cove instead.

I'm glad you like it. I do it for a couple of reasons: 1. If people are pledging support to my projects, they deserve to know what is going on with the related projects. In a way, I'm working for you guys after all. and 2. I find it to be an incredible motivating tool. If I try to get you guys regular updates on progress, I need to invest the time needed to create something worth reporting so I can post it. On a side note, got the mechanical end of the Wait function into the game. Got to make a couple of little adjustments to it, then I'll get both that and the sleep function in place. With both of those good to go, I'll drop a new build on the testers with the intent to get you guys the Events build before the end of the month.

I love how you give regular updates on how things are progressing. So many patreon projects just give radio silence for weeks and months at a time.
