Little scare this morning.
Added 2017-09-07 14:42:07 +0000 UTCWhen I got up this morning and sat down to start working on Wanton Cove, I discovered a little scare in my email inbox in addition to the usual fanmail and messages. I received a notice saying that my password, email, and/or payout methods have been changed and all payouts have been frozen for a few days while the information is processed. (On the grounds that I was able to log in regularly this morning, I'm guessing its some kind of change to the payouts.)
On the up side, since I just received my last payout a couple of days ago, this really doesn't affect anything at the moment.
On the down side, I was NOT the one who requested the changes.
I have contacted customer support about the issue and am awaiting a reply. Hopefully its just some little hiccup in the system, but either way, its been reported and I'm as far ahead of any troubles as I can be.
Now, the reason I'm sharing this with all of you instead of just keeping it to myself is: If anything weird comes up related to my Patreon page, let me know so I can report it along with my original report.
Now, odds are that this is just some non-issue, but I'd much rather err on the side of caution. The reason I received the notice in the first place is because the payouts are frozen for a few days for exactly this kind of situation. As such, none of this should affect any of you. I'll keep you all posted as things develop.
Now, off to find a Mountain Dew, then get to work writing!
UPDATE:
Heard back from support. It seems that an outside IP DID access the account somehow. I'm talking with them now in an effort to resolve the issue.
The short version: None of this should affect you guys and I'm far enough ahead of the situation that it should be resolved before it has any serious effect on me. :D

Updated everything in a fresh post. But yeah, this is my livelihood now, it allows me to pay the bills and feed my family. Its something I take very seriously, and I'm taking actions to double check everything and do what I can to prevent such a thing from ever happening again. I just hope that whoever did this is appropriately punished for their actions, as far as I'm concerned, this is an attempted theft of my income.

2017-09-07 17:34:22 +0000 UTCNope, just sent a message directly to support. How things stand right now, they seem to have isolated the violator from the account, had me change my password and that kind of stuff, and is having me go through and double check all my account information to fix anything that might have been tampered with. Looks like we're on the home stretch of getting this all resolved.

2017-09-07 17:22:19 +0000 UTCNo problem. I live under the mindset that its always best to keep everyone informed in situations like this. It seems like most of the time it turns out to be nothing, but better safe than sorry and all that.
