Happy Thanksgiving!
Added 2017-11-23 14:00:01 +0000 UTCThis is a time of year for reflection. When we look back at all the good times we have experienced over the last year, where we are thankful for having persevered through the bad times we have experience. We look around us and see our family and friends, the people we love, and we take a moment to appreciate the fact that we have people like that in our lives. And sometimes we look back, thankful for the time we had with those who are no longer with us, feeling that bittersweet joy of knowing how deeply they touched our lives.
As families, its common to argue and fight when we get together, and as often as not the reasons are stupid little things that don't really matter in the big scheme of things. Put small things aside and let your loved ones know how much you care and appreciate them. And let them know that you are thankful for the part they have played, and continue to play in your life.
Thanksgiving is a time to put aside differences and come together to enjoy one another's company and remember all the little things we are thankful for.
For those of you who celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, I hope that you have a memorable holiday full of good memories that you can carry with you for a lifetime.
For those of you who do not celebrate the holiday for any given reason, most of what I said above still applies. Take some time to remember the good things in your life, and take the time to let the people you love know how much they mean to you.
What am I thankful for you may ask? I have a happy healthy family. My chronic back pain is a fraction of what it once was meaning that I can get around with very little pain most days. My last Mountain Dew is ice cold and in my hand, to be savored as I post the new build of Wanton Cove(Sometimes its those little moments that make life truly wonderful!). And for the first time in years, thanks to every single one of you, I have a job that I love to do and all of my hard work is appreciated. So thank you all for helping make this year one of the happiest I've had in a very long time.
Now, I just need to tie up a few loose ends on the home front this morning, load the car with screaming children, then drive far too long to spend time with the dreaded in-laws for the weekend!
Enjoy your weekend everyone! I'll be looking forward to talking to you all again when I return.
