Been a very busy couple of days.
Added 2017-12-07 20:17:45 +0000 UTCWhat have I been busy with since my last post?
General stuff:
-Received the first three chibi style drawings out of four that I commissioned last night. I sent one back asking for a small change, but two of them are ready to go (Anna and Eve are complete. Azumi is in revision, and Zal'chaas is being worked on right now.) The artist has been providing me with an amazing number of WIP images that I'm very excited about sharing soon.
-Weekly polls: I'm thinking about making a change to our weekly polls again. I like the way we are counting votes now, that seems to be working very well for us, but what I am thinking of doing is actually letting people vote for what they want me to work on for the whole week rather than just for whatever time I have left over after finishing my weekly to-do list. I think the result will be that I'll be able to focus just a little more of my time on larger scenes, so while the builds of games may not be much, if any, larger, the new content will hopefully have a little more depth to it. I'll share more details at a later time, and the change will take effect after the new year begins.

Inheritance:
-With the poll for Inheritance leaning very heavily towards wanting me to add content for Eve, it looks like that's where the focus will be shifting in future builds. You can probably expect about 80% of the new content to be focused on Eve until she's caught up to her sister.
-Spent a bit of time last night doing the ground work for the Doggystyle anal content for Anna. Still need to write it, but it should be pretty easy to do when the time comes. That content won't be appearing in the build that goes to testing today or the new build at the end of next week, but it will appear in A5. Will be trying to work on this a bit more later today.
-Did some minor rewrite for one of Anna's scenes where you were still acting a little harsh to her even if you had been actively nice to her through the intro. (Scene where you ask her if she's ok while she's looking out the window.)
-Started writing a new scene for Eve. Got about 1200 words written for it, its maybe half done.
-New Inheritance TEST Build should be out this evening.
\
The Allure of Wanton Cove:
-Poked around Wanton Cove for a little bit last night. Spotted a couple of spelling errors that I corrected and did a couple of very minor rewrites.
-New build of The Allure of Wanton Cove will be released either tonight or tomorrow. Probably tonight.
\
The Therapist:
-The Therapist was this week's winner in the "What should I work on this week" Poll. I just sent Rfpnj everything I I've been working on for him. Its all "glory hole" content rather than a continuation of the therapy chain I've been writing for him. Probably 5k words or more spanning 15 smallish scenes

Also, if you haven't already, be sure to check out the writing contest for Inheritance! Top prize is $50, . . . and lets face it, who can't use an extra fifty bucks! Rules, prizes, and guidelines can all be found here:

I think that about covers everything. I've got a couple of hours of errands to run in a little bit, but if all goes well, I should have just a little more time to write a little later this evening!

Yes, I had seen that, and honestly, I don't like it at all. I've always been content to pay those fees out of my cut, figuring that more people having access to my work means more word of mouth which in turn becomes more fans of my projects in the long run. I think if they are going to make a change, then they should shift to making their own cut 10% rather than the current 5% (Granted, I end up paying about 10% in "Fees" each month on top of their 5%) then they can pay the fees out of their own cut. Only way to ensure that they don't over charge is if they have to plan it around their own budget rather than ours. The fee may not be too bad for higher pledge levels, but they're completely fucking over the $1 pledge level people. I don't know if the changes will pad Patreon's bottom line with everyone, but considering that they'll be getting significantly more from the people who support my projects, it looks like a money grab from them from where I'm sitting. It sucks, I never had a problem with paying the fees from my end (I look at pledges each month, then subtract about 20% off of that, that's usually pretty close to what I get once all fees are added and declines are factored in.), and unfortunately I don't think there's much that can be done about it. I hope that they change their mind about this, but with recent events and rules changes, I suspect that they'll just talk everyone in circles until everyone is unhappy then let us stew it in until we grudgingly accept the change.
