Mr Morichi & Nadia: Art Breakdown.

Just dropped these pieces into Wanton Cove and thought I'd share their evolution before you get to see them in the test build later today.

First sketches:

I really knitpicked this one. I asked the artist to open Nadia's mouth just a little to expose her missing tooth. I also asked him to make the shirt look like its straining to hold her in and show a bit of cleavage. With Mr Morichi, I thought his hands looked wrong, I mentioned the need to put something in his hands, like a cup.

Second sketch:

The changes to Nadia were perfection. I loved it and gave the artist the green light to continue with that image. For Mr Morichi, the artist took their own initiative to adjust his beard a bit (I liked this version much better.) and I asked them to change out the coffee cup for a tea cup.

Third sketch:

With the images cleaned up a little bit, and tea cup in Mr Morichi's hands, I was happy with both images and asked the artist to continue.

At this stage, I reemphasized the missing tooth for Nadia, but otherwise I thought she looked good. Mr Morichi, I asked that we put the little pink petals on the side of his cup like depicted in the game. Also, it was the artist who noticed my choice of colors for his clothes didn't match the in-game description, so I asked that he change that as well.
