Inheritance Wallpaper

One of the things I commissioned this month in the art department is  desktop wallpapers.  I'm actually thinking about doing one commission  like this every month if its something that you enjoy.

If you like this, and want to see more, post a message below, or like the post so I know.

Hope that you all enjoy the wallpaper!

Thank you for the honesty. The face is something that I wasn't entirely sold on either. Especially the eyes. That said, I thought that the piece overall was very nice. As for art in the game itself, consistency is something that is very important to me. Fan art, wallpapers, or other art outside the game, it doesn't matter to me if it matches the game art or not, but the art within the game itself is something I feel strongly should be as consistent as possible. As a matter of fact, I originally brought in a group of three artists to work together and create an art style for the game that all of them could duplicate with ease. I figured that if they could easily create that style of art, then finding other artists who could also duplicate the art style would be relatively easy if the need ever arose. Art prices are insane. The first time I went looking for artists, it was more than a little off putting since I was picturing my getting 2-4 pieces of art for what most artists wanted for one. I've been lucky though, I've found a couple of more reasonably priced artists, and I've developed good relationships with them which has resulted in better prices at times (I've received discounted art, the Wanton Cove artist saves background art for common locations so they can be reused with new foreground images and I'm only charged the original background price even if I ask for small adjustments to it, and other things like that). Lady Rae, she's a sweetheart. And she is an incredibly talented artist who I'm convinced doesn't get a fraction of the recognition she deserves. The family portrait image I had her do previously was just to be nice. This one was because I was authentically impressed with everything about the previous commission.

I'll be blunt as well, but with a different issue ^^ The art is well done, but the facial style is not my personal taste. But I could see the Wallpaper as part of the game, especially the center piece as it should clash the least with other artwork since you see no details... though unlike Gaming Raffle I have no issue with mixing artwork within a game like this. It's awesome to get any art for them at all within a reasonable price and it gives lesser known artists a chance to shine.

Respectfully blunt is a trait I value in the people around me. There are a couple of issues at play with this image: First, I know the artist, so commissioning art from her is a token of that friendship. Second, I personally enjoy the art style. ;) Third, while I did send Lady Rae some sample work from our regular Inheritance artists, I asked her to play the game as well and to create based on her own impressions of the game. As for investing more money into art: Keeping in mind how much money I make through Patreon (You can see the number right there on the main page.) I commission a little over $100 in art for Wanton Cove each month. I have two artists who are related to Inheritance with the agreement that they can create up to 15 pieces of art each, and in turn receive 1% of my earnings for each piece of art completed (So up to 30% of my earnings if they buckled down. We had a talk recently though, and set a minimum amount of art per month for them so odds are we will start seeing more art in the future from them. The artist who created the four WIP pieces I shared the other day is one of those two % paid artists.), in addition to that, I just commissioned $1250 worth of art (To be paid half this coming month, half the following) for a paper doll system what will in the long run make art for games like Inheritance much cheaper and more interactive by allowing the ability to dress or modify the girls any way you see fit. (Once that art arrives however, we will still need to write the programs to run it within the game. The first bundle is going to be a proof of concept, but assuming everything works, we hope to add additional character positions, additional clothing, and other customization options. The artist already said that it will likely take two months to complete the commissioned art, and I fully expect it to take a while for the coders to put together a working prototype of the program we will be using, so it may still be a few months before I have much to show on that front.), plus I try to send a little something to the people who help me with coding. While you guys see $1200 in my earnings column, by the time I pay everyone and sit 10% off to the side to cover taxes, I've got enough left over to keep my family fed and pay the internet bill, and not a whole lot more. I do however hope that as my Patreon earnings continue to grow (And honestly, I see fairly good growth most months, I've only been at this for a little over a year now) that I will be able to continue investing additional finds into art. I plan my budget around putting about half of my earnings back into these projects, and while I would love to invest more into art and other improvements, I have to strike a balance between business expenses and feeding my family and paying the internet bill. ;) As for future wallpapers, I actually plan to mix things up a little bit. I want to do one for Eve next month, likely by the same artist. After that, I was thinking of doing something for Wanton Cove. Assuming people like the Wallpapers, I was actually hoping to commission one new one each month if possible, and that art is likely to come from a host of artists over time. Though after your comments about liking the project's regular artists work, I may see if one of them would be interested in doing a piece in the future as well. Disney movie rather than an adult game? I love me some Disney porn, . . . Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts and impressions.

I'll be blunt because i'm assuming you would prefer real opinions, as I always do. I would prefer you use your resources to fund more in-game art. Preferably by the artist that you posted the four sketches of on the 22nd. I do not envision the character looking like this after what has already been displayed. I would however be interested in wallpapers if they didn't have such a drastic difference in character design. Lastly, this wallpaper feels like it was made for a Disney movie rather than an adult game.
