Progress Report
Added 2018-03-04 19:56:50 +0000 UTCSpent a bit of time working on The Therapist today. Finished up the second scene grouping and figure I'm about 1/3 of the way through three different scenes right now and hope to finish up all of that the next time The Therapist hits the top spot in the polls.
Been planning out what to write for the next version of Wanton Cove. I have three large items on this week's to-do list as well as three smaller (And in one case, potentially code heavy.) items. Its a pretty heavy work load, but unless I have a repeat of this last week on the home front, I expect to be able to work through it without too much trouble.
Poll Conversation:
I'm calling the Menstrual poll from a couple of days ago. The current results are what I'm planning around. I really expected the first two items to be a little higher and the third to be a lot lower on the poll, but heck, if I could predict a poll's results every time, there wouldn't be much use for them, right?
The end results were:
No Menstruation content: 31%
Flavor text and simple scenes: 44%
Shark Week: 25%
Total Votes: 89
What the results mean:
-I had intended from the start to kind of average the poll results and plan around that. however since the results were spread out much more than expected I will instead be taking a different approach to this content. (I really expected something along the lines of 40/50/10, give or take.)
-Content for this will be planned out and start being written around the time code becomes available for pregnancy.
-I will be setting up a variable to track people's preference when it comes to Menstruation. Default will be the simple scenes (Minimum to no mention of blood.) and the option to toggle that content on/off. At a later time, I'll add Shark Week to the options along with its related content (Simple scenes will play along with "Shark Week" content to create a fuller experience.)
-"Shark Week" will be fully optional and you will have to select it to see that content, no unwanted surprises.
-"Shark Week" content will be handled respectfully of the subject matter. It will NOT just be for the sake of adding a bit of blood and such to the game, it will be to explore in more detail another aspect of the human condition along with all of the emotions and interactions that come with it.
-Ladies (And I know a few of you play my projects.), if you'd be willing/interested in sharing some of your experiences, feel free to message me. This is a topic I'm researching online today (And taking notes) as well as talking with a couple of the women in my life about their experiences (After all, wikis and medical sites might tell you the science and details of what happens, but that's no replacement for real life experience. And as a man, those are experiences I will never be able to have first hand.). If you want to tell your best/worst stories about your own experiences (Through PM here on Patreon or through any of the sites I post the game to if you'd like some privacy for the conversation.) If you'd like your name in the credits as a special thanks, I'll be happy to do that for you, if you'd rather keep your name out of it then I'll respect that and not add you to the list, entirely up to you.
Now, off to deal with some real life issues!
