Inheritance Progress report

Been a busy day today.  Was sick last night AND pulled a rib this morning, so I ended up getting up early simply because I couldn't sleep.  Because of that I got a really early start on working today.  In total, I've got about 8 hours of work in, with a possibility of more later this evening (We'll see, not feeling terribly ambitious at the moment, so its more likely I'll just end up playing video games or something instead.)

The short version, I woke up sore, cranky, and had a goal in mind that I had every intention of accomplishing!  Couple of pain meds (The GOOD stuff) later and I spent the rest of the day obsessing over work.

-Spent a couple of hours running down and finally finding what was causing troubles with the Eve seduction event chain.  Couldn't figure out why some people could find it and others couldn't.  The fix will appear in A13.  You can learn more here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/eve-bedtime-and-18358093

-Been spending a lot of time today talking with coders about various elements.  Sounds like one of them has been working hard trying to clean up come code (They were also the one who ultimately found and fixed the seduction event bug.)  Some of that code talk actually involved  some discussion about how the time code will affect pregnancy, . . . . 

-Wrote, coded, and added eleven locations to the game today, along with a minimum of two small scenes for each of those locations.  The mansion grounds are officially in the game now.  Don't expect any meaningful content outside of the house as the current focus is on filling out the content in the interior for the moment.  A little bit at a time I'll add a few more ambient scenes to each location though in an effort to present a similar amount of ambient content to what you can find inside the house even if interactive scenes may not be added for a little while still.

-Additionally, had a good talk with the guys who are wanting to help out with the wiki, Sounds like one of them has been putting together content on the side and will start updating the wiki in the near future.  


My goal for today was to finish up the initial bit of Mansion Grounds content.  Mission accomplished.  Right now I'm putting together a checklist of what I want to do tomorrow, but I think I've got my heart set on adding at least a couple of new interactive scenes to the game.  Time will tell how that all pans out.


I've talked about TheMadExile occasionally.  They have taught me most of what I know about coding, they're always willing to help out when I have a question, and more recently they have become one of our regular coders for Inheritance.  (They were the one who isolated and fixed the Eve seduction scene problem I mentioned above)  I thought it might be nice to plug their Patreon page.  This is the guy who creates the sugarcube format for both Twine and Twee.  Odds are that if you're playing an html based game, this guy made it possible.  Show him a little bit of support if you're able, and let them know GateKeeper pointed you their way:
