The Allure of Wanton Cove: Art Breakdown

I haven't been doing as many of these as I would like, but I'll be making up for it now! This should be the first of three art breakdowns you'll be receiving over the next few days (Scheduling the next couple after posting this, don't want to drop it all on you guys all at once after all!)

Today I am bringing to you the image done for the 5th night scene.

This first image is the sketch I received after commissioning the piece. I liked the overall feel of it. I asked the artist to make a couple of small adjustments, like adding long sleeves to the Tom-thing.

First colors:

I liked the overall feel of the image, and felt it fit the scene very well. I mentioned that the corner of the bed should be visible beside the chest.

Final version:

The bed in the image, even just the corner of it, improved the image more than I had expected. I let the artist know that it looked good and green lit them to put the final touches on the piece.
