Welcome

It's been a long time since I've given a proper welcome to all the new people around here, and with an advertisement going up later today that will hopefully bring in some new fans, I figured now was as good a time as any to say hello and to explain what we do around here.

First, welcome to everyone.  I am always amazed at the number of people who enjoy my work, and the heartfelt comments I frequently receive from fans of my games.  To all of you who pledge a little something, your generosity ensures that I can create full time, and you help pay for all of the art you see in our games.  Thank you.  To everyone who follows, or maybe you're just passing through, it means the world to me to know so many people take an interest in my work, and come back time and again to see what is new.  Thank you.

A little bit about my work:

I started creating adult games about five years ago now.  Beginning with Futa Apocalypse, I played around with a program named twine as a way to learn how create text based games.  While Futa Apocalypse has remained popular to this day, it was ultimately abandoned some time back because it became too big and unwieldy to work on.  This was entirely my own fault for not having the foresight to plan it's internal structure better.  I have plans to come back to the setting at some point in the future and create a reboot of the game.

Next up, I started work on two different projects, first, The Allure of Wanton Cove, which is still in development, and shortly after that The PuppetMaster which has been completed.

The Allure of Wanton Cove is a Lovecraftian Horror game with Erotic elements.  It takes place within H.P.Lovecraft's own mythos and I have worked hard to stay true to the original source material while carving out a little place of my own among the lore.  To date, the game has been very well received, and while the main storyline is complete, I am working to add additional stories within the setting to broaden the experience.  I have every intention of continuing to grow the setting for as long as people are interested in seeing more.  The game is currently in development and is being worked on actively.

The PuppetMaster is a simple story that I did for a contest about three years ago.  It placed in the middle of the pack, but I was still fairly happy with the accomplishment.  The story follows a young woman who goes to work for an old magician as a live in nurse.  She quickly finds herself out of her depth as it becomes increasingly obvious that the old pervert is capable of far more than mere parlor tricks.

Just over a year ago, I stared work on a game named Inheritance.  It's a tale of a young man who inherits his Great Uncle's estate, along with two slave girls.  As the story begins to unfold, your choices affect how the girls feel about you, whether you decide to force them into a world of terror, nurture and love them, or something in between, is entirely up to you as the player.  The game is still fairly early in development and is being worked on actively.

There are other projects either that I've dabbled with or are on the back burner waiting for production, but those I'll talk about another day.

You can also find some of my work over here: https://chyoa.com/user/GateKeeper_A  I sometimes write over on chyoa just for fun, and other times I'll try a story out there just to see how well it is received before deciding if I want to work on it as a possible future game.

A bit about what we do over here on Patreon:

-I always try to ensure there is a free version of my games.   For Wanton Cove, there is a free version and a Cheat build (It was originally started as a free game, so I don't feel right about charging for early access or anything like that.  Only difference between the free build and the Cheat build is that the latter has a Cheat Menu in the game that allows you to change stats at will.).  For Inheritance there is a free build, an early access build (When a new build comes out, the old early access build becomes the new free build), and the Cheat build.  While I AM trying to make my living doing this, it is very important to me to simply share my work with people who appreciate it.  I intend to always have a free version of all of my projects.

-I regularly update about progress, usually +5 times a week.  Progress updates are free posts so that anyone can follow progress toward new builds.

-My earnings over here on Patreon helps me pay the cost of internet, it keeps the lights on, and it allows me to help cover the bills on the home front.  But that's just what this accomplishes for me.  How it affects you guys is that upwards of half of my earnings go into art for my games, it allows me to give a little something to the people who help me behind the scenes, and it helps to cover other work related expenses like advertising for our little Patreon page.

-I have always promised one build a month, totaling a minimum of 3k words of content.  In reality, I exceed this by quite a bit.  A typical month will usually see +3 new builds between my two active projects, and those builds typically range in size from 5-10k words of content (Never less than 3k, and I've hit 28k words of new content on two occasions.)

-Why do I work on two projects at any given time?  That's an easy one.  While many people think I should focus on a single project, I have ADHD.  What this means is I have a very short attention span and it often proves difficult to focus on one thing for more than a few hours at a time.  The way my games are designed, it allows me to jump around between different elements if I start to loose focus, or even jump to the other project for an hour or two if I need a change of pace.  Most people think my work method looks like chaos, but I think the results of my work speak for themselves.  It's a system that works for me.

-As we continue to grow. my hope is that more of our earnings can go into expanding our content.  More art for example.  I also have a friend who I plan to hire as a full time employee when/if we ever hit $5k a month who will help write new content along side me, meaning at that time we will see a significant increase in the amount of content we will be creating.

And for those of you who have made it this far.  Yes, I'm fairly long winded at times.  ;)    It's a huge boon when you love to write, . . . . not so much the rest of the time.

I encourage everyone to share their thoughts and comments.

You have an idea you'd like to put forth?  Please do!  I don't promise to use it, but I'm always happy to hear ideas, and I eagerly adopt them if I feel they are appropriate to the setting.

Bug reports is another place that I love to hear from people.  See a spelling error?  Grammar mistake?  A bug?  Please report and I'll make every effort to get it fixed as soon as I am able.

So, thank you to every one of you for taking the time to read all of this.  I appreciate every last one of you.  Whether you pledge a little support financially, you report bugs, share thoughts on possible improvements or expansions to existing projects, or you're simply one of the thousands of people who download the free version of the game every build.  Thank you.  Each and every one of you helps make all of this possible in your own way.

I was trying to do something like the above about once a month before, but it's kind of fallen to the wayside recently. Trying to be better about it!
