Production pace.

Back when I started producing content through Patreon, I promised a new build once a month with +3k words of new content.
I quickly settled into a pattern of a new build every other week for the most part, usually ranging between 5-8k words of content. This was being done while working on Inheritance in the background which meant I was working on Wanton Cove every other week and Inheritance every other week. So you were all seeing only half of the work I was doing at that time.
Once Inheritance went public, I maintained the same pace for working, but ended up having a release every week because I was still alternating weeks for which project I work on.
This brings us to the present.
Between the time it takes me to prep and release a new build, combined with the time I spend replying to the rash of messages I receive immediately after a release, I spend around 10 hours most weeks related to making a release.
Here's what I've been thinking. Lately, Inheritance has been getting a lot more votes on the poll for what I should be working on. Probably 50% more votes than Wanton Cove some weeks.
I was thinking of going to a bi-weekly release schedule again, only we would be alternating between Inheritance and Wanton Cove. If I work on one of the games for a week during the previous month, then it will see a build of similar size to what we currently see. Alternately if something wins two weeks out of a month, or even three, then the resulting build size should be larger proportionately to that.
More importantly, I probably spend around 60 hours a week working on projects. Maybe 40 of that goes into writing and coding on a really good week while the rest of that goes into messages, coordinating things in the background (Talking with coders, commissioning art, those kinds of things.)
We can continue as we always have if you would all like, I'm fine with that if that's what people want. Alternately, if I shift to a bi-weekly release then the extra time I save NOT having to deal with releases can be put back into the games meaning we will likely see a small uptick in the amount of work I get done some weeks.

Your talents are wasted on release administration. And I generally prefer to give it a few releases to generate more content before exploring the game again any way... From the poll results so far I assume that others are probably skipping releases to hold out for more content as well. As long as that's true, your math shows that we will benefit without loss from the new system.
