Inheritance WIP Art: Master Bedroom
Added 2018-06-20 20:29:30 +0000 UTCIt's been a while since I've shared any art with you guys, and it's past time I changed that. Mostly this has been a case of undependable artists, though it's partially my fault as well for not badgering them more.
Anyway, more on that at the bottom. For now, Art!
This image is for the Master Bedroom in the mansion. I'm really happy with how it's coming together so far, nice colors and ambience. I've asked for a few changes to the image that the artist has promised to do next week.

Now, on to my complaining about artists.
The foreground artist for Inheritance: I'm giving them until the end of this month to finish up anything they are working on. After that point, done or not, I'm finished with the artist. He's still working on images I requested back in December, . . . not acceptable.
The background artist: The image above is from them. I was promised a one week turnaround for art. I was pretty excited when I saw concept sketches and early drafts within hours. It's been two months now, . . . .
The one bright thing in all of this is that the Paper Doll artist has proven to be competent, punctual, and very easy to work with. I asked them what they thought about doing more traditional art for the game. They seemed fairly agreeable to the idea and even suggested that they could handle much more work if I wanted to send it their way. Because they've proven that they can be trusted to produce quality art in a reasonable time frame, I plan to start putting all of my Inheritance art budget toward art from them instead of spreading it between several artists like I have done up to this point. If they are able to produce the way they have to date, then there should be a LOT of art to share starting next month.
Wanton Cove art will continue as it has for the last year, though I am hoping to start putting a bit more money toward art for the game, which should translate into more images appearing in the game in the coming months.
