Inheritance Progress Report

Since this weekend was pretty close on the "What should I work on" poll, and I've got a lot of loose ends with Inheritance right now, I'm going to cash in my "Writer's Choice" votes and work on Inheritance this week.    This will give me one more week's work before the next build comes out.

This weekend was spent with family, so my focus was largely on that rather than writing.

Even so, I managed to get a bit of work done, writing the first episode and part of the second for one of the "Television shows" I have planned for Inheritance (Yes, we're going to include a hand full of television shows that you'll eventually be able to sit down and watch in the living room.  These shows will range from local news, documentaries, fiction series and movies, and other things.   I'm actually planning to convert some of my writing I've done in the past for this, so it should be a fairly quick job to make the changes needed and drop it all into the game.  I probably put together about 1500 words in half an hour last night.  Lots of fun to be had.

Received a new round of background art for Inheritance over the weekend.  Four new locations have been illustrated:  Sauna, Study, Living Room, and Ball Room.  I'm incredibly excited about getting them into the game.  Between these and the four we added to the game this last week, about 50% of the mansion interior will have brackground art now.  The artist has one more foreground piece they are working on, but we're already talking about what we're hoping to accomplish next month.  I'm leaning toward doing 4 background images and 2 foreground images each month (Assuming we see good growth so we can afford it, so far this month is looking really good.), then swapping the ratio when the mansion is done, doing two backgrounds for the grounds or town and the rest going into character art.

Wanton Cove artist sent me a new piece today.  I gave them the green light to put the final touches on it and send me the final version.  The new image should appear in the next build of the game.

Received some sketch art for a wallpaper I commissioned for Inheritance.  Looking forward to getting to share the piece people when it's done.  The artist and myself talked briefly about the piece, but there wasn't really much I wanted refined so I green lit the piece and set them to work on it.
