"After the passing of your estranged Great Uncle, you're surprised to find yourself listed as the sole heir to his estate. With all the legal unpleasantness out of the way, you're now on your way to your new home.
Not sure what to expect when you arrive, you don't know if you're going to sell the mansion or live there, but once you step inside your entire world changes when you are suddenly faced with the fact that you now own two slave girls.
What do you do with them? Do you follow in your Great Uncle's footsteps and use them for your own pleasure? Do you treat them like servants? Or do you nurture a relationship with them that just might blossom into something more, . . ."

Comments
Not sure, I got the email that you'd commented, but when I got here your message wasn't here. I replied anyway since it was basically an extension to what I'd said before anyway. It's all good. ;)

2018-10-07 14:14:50 +0000 UTCCool, sounds good. Er, I'm not sure where my comment went, I guess Patreon spam filtered it or something.

2018-10-07 14:07:44 +0000 UTCRight now we have the TV function that is going into the game, but I also intend to set things up so you can read books, play video games, or even play roleplaying games within the game.

2018-10-07 14:04:12 +0000 UTCActually there are plans to let the main character work eventually. Additionally, there is housing for eight slaves and you'll be able to fairly easily fill those slots eventually. As for hobbies, that's not something I had planned, but I'm always open to suggestions, got anything specific in mind? Another thing I plan to do is that I'm going to remove the requirement that a girl be present for events to trigger for the time being. That should make events easier to trigger, and changing it back once the girls move about on their own shouldn't be too difficult.

2018-10-07 13:50:04 +0000 UTCThanks, I'll check the wiki and see if I can hit my stride. How do you feel about giving the protagonist obvious ways to spend the day like hobbies or a job? Is this something you see yourself adding in the future? I don't think the game has to change very fundamentally to do this - rooms could gain additional actions that pass a lot of time when you take them. Ideally it would lead to some sort of skill gain or other character development that would tie back into the game. I think fundamentally my problem is that the phase space of the game is just so large: there's so many rooms in the mansion and so many time slots per day, it's just overwhelming to me and I don't know where to start. I don't want to use the wait function because I don't want to feel like I'm missing things, but I also have no idea where to go to not miss things (or how long to wait for to reach a time of day where there's more to do). I'm sure checking the wiki will help with this, but it would be great if there were in-game hints of when and where things are likely to happen.

2018-10-07 11:34:45 +0000 UTCCheck the wiki, a lot of the game's content includes a guide for how to find scenes, as well as what stat thresholds change those scenes. For the time being you need to summon girls to the locations the scenes will take place in as they are not yet moving around on their own. You actually CAN cuddle up on the sofa with them or talk with them if you wanted, though that is something I'm working to expand significantly. Honest feedback, even when it's blunt, is always welcome.

2018-10-07 02:37:25 +0000 UTCI'm not sure about the best way to say this, but I seem to be struggling a lot with the core gameplay loop of Inheritance. From reading your updates I know there's a lot of content, but I'm having a very hard time reaching any of it. Unlike in Wanton Cove, where there's a clear objective even if there's no clear path forward to reach it, in Inheritance I just feel aimless. What does the protagonist *do* all day? Am I really just supposed to restlessly stalk through every room in the mansion, hoping to catch Anna or Eve doing something interesting? Am I missing something? I feel like I should have hobbies and interests. It doesn't have to be anything exciting - maybe I'm a gamer and I spend hours every day grinding for gear in some MMO until one of the girls reminds me that dinner is ready. Maybe I've always wanted to become an artist, and now that I have a fancy mansion and more money than I know what to do with, I spend hours painting every day. Perhaps my late uncle's scientific discoveries intrigue me (even if the man himself disgusts me) and I dive into his literature, slowly trying to master them day by day. Even if these things don't really have any impact on the story, they're a way to pass the time that doesn't feel artificial. Random events could happen during them - say I get up to go to the bathroom and on the way back I notice one of the girls doing something that catches my eye. Hell, socializing with the girls could be a part of passing the time as well - maybe we cuddle up on the sofa and watch a movie. Or maybe all of this is part of the game already and I'm just giving up before I even get to them. But right now I feel like the only way to get things to happen is to either stalk the girls relentlessly through about a hundred mostly empty rooms, or just wait to pass the time, and that feels fundamentally wrong to me. Sorry if this came off as harsh, I'm just frustrated because I want to experience all the scenes you've put so much effort into writing, and I don't know how to do it.

2018-10-07 02:31:48 +0000 UTCYep.
2018-10-04 10:32:33 +0000 UTCAt present, there area as few as two scenes at each relationship level for each health range. More will be added eventually, but for now it was a matter of getting it up and running properly. Those scenes begin to change at less than 50 Health and again at 10 Health. Hope that helps.
Aftermath Team
2018-10-04 01:46:30 +0000 UTCThank you, I'm assuming that's Affection, Fear, Trust, in that order? That should help finding where the gap in the scenes are.
Aftermath Team
2018-10-04 01:43:21 +0000 UTCIf it matters, neither secure then release nor secure, whip, release work. In whipping, there are only two events: angry red welt and catch in her throat.
2018-10-04 00:23:26 +0000 UTCAnna: 819/343/733.
2018-10-04 00:20:15 +0000 UTCAny chance you know what your stats were?
