Inheritance Progress Report 10/24/18

Not a lot to show for the last couple of days right now, but it's been productive.

I think the first thing to mention is that we've got some forward momentum on the Inventory/items content again.  I've been talking with a very talented coder the last couple of days about the inventory system and they've expressed a willingness to help out.  We're sharing information and notes right now in an effort to get things up to speed on that front.

When I haven't been trying to figure out inventory related code and talking with the coder I mentioned above, I've been writing some new content for Gaia.  As of right now, I've got three new minor scenes for her written, one major scene about half done, a couple more "apple" scenes written, and I've written the "Cheat" code related for her.

All of the content I'm working on right now will NOT be appearing in the next build of the game.  I try to give at least a week for testing new content before it goes public, and since we will be seeing an Inheritance release at the end of this week, I'm writing the content and all of the related code, but not actually putting it in to the game until after this weekend's release to ensure we have a chance to properly test everything before a proper release is made of it.  As such, the content being added right now will appear in next month's build.  That said, all of you are going to LOVE the new build this weekend!

What to expect the rest of this week:

-I hope to finalize plans for the Inventory stuff.  A lot of that will depend however on what all needs to be done and how much time the coder in question has to invest into Inheritance.

-I want to finish up at least one major scene for Gaia.

-Going to write at least a couple more "apple" scenes.

-Tomorrow is going to be a work day barring anything unexpected.

-Friday will be a work day, but will likely be a half day.  Need to release the new build of Inheritance in the evening.

-Saturday & Sunday:  Not sure what these are going to look like from a work perspective yet.  Odds are pretty good that I get to work at least half a day on one of those.  More likely I'll get to work all of one of those days.

Next week:
-I've got a couple of Halloween surprises for everyone that I think people will enjoy.
