Do you use the IOS app for Patreon memberships?

I, and probably all the other Patreon people, got these news from Patreon:
A*ple is gonna force everyone who uses their IOS app for Patreon memberships to pay their 30% fee in the future. Meaning it will become more expensive to handle Patreon payments through the IOS app (default option), or they will take 30% from the creator.
If you don't use the IOS app for payments I think you are safe.

I don't think Patreon is to blame from what I've read, they're getting fucked as well.
I'd probably avoid paying through the app, if possible, if I was an IOS user. For example, you can just subscribe directly on Patreon.com

Yeah, as long as the subbing is done outside of the app/apps store, I think you'll avoid the fee
