While the Forsaken got a good handful of customisation options, I felt that they could be expanded massively in a few ways: First, I believe that, because each part of the boney geosets are separate already, they should be individually togglable. Additionally each limb, because they are also separate, could be separated out to allow asymmetrical boney customisations. Admittedly this would require the two sides of the body model to call upon two different textures, which is actually rather simple but it is potentially an ordeal. In the long term however, I do believe asymmetrical body models could benefit greatly. Face paints are 100% custom work, inspired by the face paints of metal rock bands and the Forsaken Icon of Torment. The hairstyles and jewellery are pulled from the humans, which I believe should be given to the Forsaken as they were once human and by all means should be allowed to extend their customisation in both a more human-like path and a more necrotic path. In addition, some jewellery options are pulled from the Kul Tirans, which while I did not transfer all accessories over (hairstyles) I do believe that many of the newer Forsaken would likely have been of a Kul Tiran variety and should be allowed to reflect their once-claimed kingdom. I have not yet worked on other kingdoms however but intend to some day in the future if I ever expand on a human customisation project to give options that reflect each kingdom. It is my intent to moreso reflect that Forsaken (and humans) should be one day given options that would be befitting a Tidesage (shaman) much like Thomas Zelling and others. All customisation options, including skeleton, are meant to be mixable with every other option. Skeletons should have access to hairstyles and jewellery, with the very exception of tattoos and face paints because it was difficult to map out the exact designs on each model. Instead, I have designed tattoos uniquely to the skeleton inspired by Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) designs. The tattoos are meant to glow in the dark and are partially available if choosing a partial skeletal option. Many of the eye options are simply asymmetrical, which has been seen numerous times from other races. One technique I used is not disabling the geoset for options with literally one eye, but instead deleting the entire texture, utilising the same technique used for disabling the eye shine sprite that is used for non-emissive eyes. However, I believe it would be worth the time to completely redesign the eyes to be colourable via colour picker shader, as it would save on disk data resources and ingame resources overall. This technique is displayed with the Death Knight eye smoke, which is in reality a white texture coloured with blue and given a gradient to fade near the top. This would allow for players to have thousands of eye colour options while saving on a tremendous amount of resources. Additionally not previewed, female forsaken were given human eyebrow options but given that there are 26 of them in every hair colour option, it would inflate the video for a detail so minor. Many of the videos I placed side by side to conserve time, as it would otherwise have ended up being a ~45 minute video with a lot of unused blank space on each side. I felt that this was simply a better option overall and will be attempting to proceed with this design in the future. Video took 30 hours to render. Project started on February 25th, ended on March 5th 2021. Project took approximately 27 hours to complete. Music is from Drustvar and Maldraxxus.
