So, like... what's next?

I think book 5 is gonna need the most editing of any of my books. Some parts feel a little rushed to me, plus, like... it's kind of a weird ending. I think it fits my weird series, but when you're doing something formulaic, you need to make sure you hit all the parts of the formula well. When you're doing something else, you really gotta make sure that A) you're hitting all the things you meant to hit and B) those are actually the right things to hit. So, um, gonna be giving it some real close attention and TLC.

3. Getting ready for my next series. Still nailing down all the details, but I think the first book will probably be called "They Never Come Out of the Castle" and it'll be set in a very, very post-apocalyptic world where there big problem is rampant uncontrollable magic everywhere. It's planned to be Progression Fantasy but not litRPG.
If anyone knows a cover artist that can do a bang-up job on an absolutely insane-looking castle in a really colorful magical storm, drop me a name.
I'll be sharing my work with y'all as I feel ready to (including any scenes I add to Apocalypse Parenting book 5) but I'm still thinking I'll pause the Patreon money collection for a few months, if only as a thank-you to all of you.
I am so, so grateful to all of you. I've wanted to be an author since I was seven years old, which was the age where I realized that real people wrote books (not sure what I thought before that, maybe that they materialized from heaven like manna). Your support made that possible. I mean, here I am! Truck-kun could come for me tomorrow, and I would still have written a series. I'm not planning to rest on my laurels or anything - I've got SO many books I want to write - but this is a major milestone for me and, well... I wouldn't be here without my readers.

That's a great question! I do usually include a bonus chapter when I publish as a thank-you to Patreons and those who purchase, but I'm feeling good about how I'm leaving things... I'll have to think about it.

I could see my kids, and my grandkids, acting and similar manner as Micah, Gavin, and Cassie. It made the series much more emotionally gripping than many others. Well done, and I look forward to seeing what comes from you next!
