fresh moth off the production line

Ok I have spent the past two weeks cleaning up, redoing or changing the design of my moth girl cosplay.

Headpiece: I added a delicate mothy feather to the antenna, took out the plastic eyeball pieces and made a bug eye with clay and sewed it on.

Wings: I doubled the size of the wings, decided to hand sew all the components unlike the original which was hot glued. Each side is painted different and the back side has a gauzy material covering so it looks different from front to back. Spent a while looking at actual moth wings to make my paint job more realistic instead of just stylistic and random like the original.

Bra: To the camera, the only real difference between this bra and the original is that I added a gauzy material to frame the cleavage part. I actually removed the ill fitting straps and made new ones, replaced the back clasp piece so it was much wider and could support my wings better. I also cleaned up all the loose sewing on the waistband and cup.

I am almost done the skirt and moth underwear. I would like to make gauzy gloves and figure out how to mothify the white heal boots I showed in the last pic.

You might be wondering, why did I do this? Lots of people who watch my videos might not even notice the difference. The answer I have given myself is that it feels good to wear a costume that fits well and has thought put into it. A sacred item. Also...I still haven't figured out a script yet. Waiting on a brain explosion but I know they only come when i'm not forcing them.

P.S I finished the dark tower series and feel floored by it. It actually made me sad for a few days, I felt inferior to a person who was able to make such a massive universe and long term project. But maybe one day I will make a really big project that takes me years. Anyways I highly recommend everyone to read the series!

I hope you can! If you rub a little orange juice on your palms they will all come land on you to check out the citrus smell and that feels magical

aw well thank you I hope so! I really want to go to a butterfly garden and find some moths

The moth aficionados in your audience would notice and appreciate any changes. I'm sure the aficionados who are also moths would as well.
