Let's talk about battle system
Added 2023-07-04 13:28:52 +0000 UTCI'm still working on NTR Bunnies RPG but mentally I'm already preparing for the next game, I want to start the new game while having figured out almost everything. I want to be prepared!
I decided the plot, the setting and I commissioned the two main character design from the character designer who did Priestess Hollie's characters and Cuckoo Mask's characters.
It's still gonna be NTR don't worry ;)
ANYWAY!
what do you think about NTR bunnies RPG battle system?
Weakness based + no level up . Did you like it? Do I keep it for the next game?

hello, it's not directly about the fight system itself that is cool but in the fighting menu an interaction to distract the enemy (ex: characters undressing, sex scene taking characters (one or more) for 2 turns and the enemy can't attack or miss more attacks during some turns) can add a bit more strategy like selecting character who can't really make a lot of damage useful in another way

2023-07-10 22:11:33 +0000 UTCJust to recap: my biggest issue was with the fact I only had equipment to equip a single character, which translated to: 1) having the other characters die with one or two hits in every single fight; 2) long, drawn-out fights as I had to kill enemies with a single character. I think this could be solved in a bunch of ways, for example. 1) Give the player enough money to buy some equipment at the beginning. 2) Give the player early ways to obtain equipment for the first dungeon (like as a quest reward from the alchemist dude after motivating the farmers or as a reward from the witch for saving her) 3) Make the items dropped by the monsters more valuable so one can grind gold easier. Of course, these ideas were all written/thought with NTR Bunnies in mind, so a new game might go for completely different solutions.

2023-07-08 20:39:55 +0000 UTCWhen I first read about the weakness system at the start of the game I thought it was a nice idea but as I started playing I ended up disliking it. With the equipment I had, only a single character of my party was able to not die with two hits and deal reasonable damage at the same time. Realized it would take way too long to grind money that way, so decided to explore. Went into the other dungeons and found equips and money, which allowed me to go back to the Earth dungeon and fight with a reasonable/fun amount of challenge, but the fact that I had to go into other dungeons like that felt a bit gamey. Plus, the fact that I had to be constantly switching weapons for specific characters lest they'd be completely useless felt like a real chore. This was specially true for Kiba, as he can't use magic. So I'd prefer to see the weakness system either: 1) revamped for a smoother beginning; 2) preserved but in a mitigated/softened up way; or 3) absent altogether from the new game.

2023-07-08 19:25:44 +0000 UTCnext project will be less open-world and a bit more metroidvania so there won't be probably the boss/dungeon in any order. This will allow me to have more control over the corruption of the girl. But I'm a open world fan so I'm gonna do more of it

2023-07-07 20:25:05 +0000 UTCI would say the biggest worry is if you add leveling will we still be able to visit bosses in any order? I liked that I could do any boss/dungeon in any order, rather than a fixed one.
