Dec. WIP.1

Starting off with the First WIP set for December~ I'm working through a couple variants for the Triggerfish base frame, like the Sturgeon, will have a couple of options to accommodate. The hope with this is to modify the current triggerfish base frame as little as possible so things won't need to be reprinted. But I might release these as a complete set with magnet slots added as needed to swap between things. With any luck, for December I'll have an infantry variant, a Calappa hanger variant, and time willing a heavy missile variant.

As for the setup, I wanted the actual carrier to be a separate entity from the trigger fish. Implying that any one in the field could be outfitted for heavy weapons or personnel depending on the need. This also gives you the opportunity to use the actual carriers as terrain/objectives/display etc~

I've been asked a lot about this one so I'm happy I'm finally getting to it.

And for those wondering I'll be returning the following month to my mecha roots, rest assured~

Dec. WIP.1

Comments

This is going to have the same drone mount the Triggerfish has~

Poyper

Only thing drawing me off is don't see where the drones pop out from.

WarjackedsWorkshop

I love the carryall-style attachment of storage pods. I think it might look a bit more balanced of it were further forward though (the pod itself).

Bcbear

Can't wait for MLRS variant of Triggerfish.

Marko Vinu

Narwhal started like an ugly oversized Clappa and turned into an awesome artillery walker in the end.

Sorry Pipes this dosent do it for me and i know i am but one of many and lets face it if it makes you happers its way more important also. I do pose this though the first design you did can you make it more like a tray that attaches to the main body via magnets? I mean we all love modularity (word?) and it makes it a separate piece and it dosent look like a silly box the Earth caste just strapped to it.

Brandon Stone

I agree I actually liked the first one Pipes came up with but seems she didnt.

Brandon Stone

Woot! Love how we ended up with the detachable pod style :)

Hecate Games

After having worked through the Narwhal, I'm going to be holding off on anything larger scale then the Narwhal for a handful of reasons. Most of them being time issues, in that it would probably take me more then 2 months to work through with very little or nothing being released in the mean time. I think I will eventually model something that large, but it's probably gonna be a side side project I work on in the background~

Poyper

The current layout for the infantry container is going to work out to (space not-with-standing) 3 seats on each side with slots for weaponry, and two center racks for a couple guppy drones/calappas. It's probably gonna be a drop down door at the rear similar to stock~ I also want to make the roof attachable through magnets though so besides being detachable from the triggerfish, you'll be able to have an interior~

Poyper

please tell me you are going bigger mech than this month in January. like titanic size

Phillip Bennett

i love this concept. have you considered having rows of seating in the pod with doors that open on the sides

Phillip Bennett

This all sounds really good. The Triggerfish is one of the kits I really liked, but I haven't bought it yet, so this is great news!

Kyle Bentley

That's the 2pi elemental warrior from Landon. I just added some bits, and use it for scale, Not my model~

Poyper

I like the pilot/trooper concept. A squad of those would be awesome!

Eric Obara

Am I the only one that feels like it looks a little bit derpy? It feels like a box has just been bolted to the bottom, rather than it being a modular piece that's swapped into the base frame.

Polaris

I cannot tell you how excited I am about this.

P

I really like the idea! Great!

Tim L.

Just awesome
