Production report #1

This summer, I took one big step towards fulfilling a dream from three years back. 

In 2016, I wrote the first draft of A Hero Past the 25th and shared it online. 

It was a story inspired by the Japanese isekai light novels, in which characters are transported into various kinds of fantasy worlds, where they gain super powers and live out lives of shameless wish-fulfillment.

A Hero Past the 25th was to be satire of the usual; instead of a teenage male, the protagonist is a nearly 40-year-old woman. Modern knowledge doesn't give her an advantage, seeing as she barely finished high school, and neither does she acquire godlike abilities. Rather than the only civilized person among uneducated barbarians, our heroine herself is a careless, carefree savage among the intellectual, morally developed natives of the other world. Though she's not a man, a lot of girls get attached to our heroine, but building and maintaining relationships can be more of a challenge to an inexperienced person than any monster or a conspiracy.

The setting got my imagination running, and soon enough, the story grew well beyond the boundaries I'd set for it. I posted part one on Royal Road, a website for sharing original stories, and the response turned out highly positive, against my expectations. 

Encouraged by the readers' comments and reviews, I continued to work on the series in my spare time, and now, three years later, the tale has already reached its fourth part! 

Getting to the conclusion I envisioned years ago suddenly doesn't seem that unlikely anymore.

"A Hero Past the 25th: Fire of Prometheus" was successfully released between July and September at Royal Road, consisting of over 144 thousand words in 22 chapters. At the moment, four more parts are still planned for the saga. 

I have certainly not forgotten my patrons either!
