Good news, and progress
Added 2022-07-05 04:06:07 +0000 UTCIn the past month, things generally have aligned better with working on the book. I have been working on it at least once a week anyways, but in the past while I've had the motivation to spend a little time on it almost daily. I finished a decent first draft of the chapter on coherence, and I worked on the introduction and did some polishing of everything in the introductory chapter.
No significant changes to the web materials. As always, I thank my patrons for contributing enough to cover the costs of my web hosting. It is very much appreciated.
Still such a long way to go before the book is finished. I did a tally of all the topics and their completion status and it looks like I'm less than 50% finished. Crikey!
I'm toying with the idea of splitting the second volume into multiple parts. So instead of being a 2000+ page volume, it could be multiple volumes of a more reasonable 300-ish pages each. But how would I split up the volumes? By cardinality? or just divide the scales up as 0 - 499, 501 - 999, 1001 - 1499... etc.
ugh it's a hard decision
One of the recent challenges was that my macbook fried and had to be replaced, and with that it meant re-installing a bunch of hombrew packages, and all my LaTeX stuff broke because of incompatible new versions of stuff. That was annoying. But after a few days of tweaking and upgrading various LaTeX packages, everything compiles once again.
Anyways I hope you are all doing well. These past few years have not been easy, and I hope that you are finding comfort where you may.
Best Regards,
Ian
