Daddy's Home ft. Andrew Law

This week, we're rejoined by Andrew Law (@IllyBocean) from Boontavista to discuss the recent 'Am I The Asshole' post about the couple cancelling the catering at their wedding to afford a visit from Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and to go into depth about the phenomenon of 'posting about your kids'

Tune in for Phoebe's opinion on Disney Adults, Hussein somehow keeping the promise 'I'm only going to mention Morbius once this episode', and Andrew being such a good friend that, when asked to bring in good dadposts, brings not one but TWO posts by his friend Theo.

Ten Thousand Posts is a show about how everything is posting. It's hosted by Hussein (@HKesvani), Phoebe (@PRHRoy) and produced by the very handsome Devon (@Devon_OnEarth).

You should go and see this, grist to the Disney adult mill https://bridgetheatre.co.uk/whats-on/the-southbury-child/

yo Hussein @ the final note about "We'll say "it was a simpler time back then..." I can only imagine what's gonna be worse than that [ISIS beheading videos]" I think we got a taste of that with like.. the Beirut port explosion. i did anyway. seeing an absolutely massive catastrophe and loss of life happen right there on your phone and widely circulated like it was completely normal and/or horribly awesome to see it and in another way, all the Ukraine/Russia war posting is doing the same thing - normalising and making a spectacle of atrocity

Why have Chewbacca come to your party when you can have Gritty and the Philadelphia Flyers?!?

I have an idea for a compromise guaranteed to make no one happy: Disney and Marvel are not “Art”, but neither is anything ever made by Martin Scorsese. Specifically just him. “The Wolf of Wall Street”? Pulp! “Taxi Driver”? Rote genre pablum! Martin Scorsese is not “Art”. Are we all suitably unhappy, now?

Thoughts and prayers to Mr Kesvani trying three times to end the podcast only for the topic to slip from his hands.

Disney took a kids birthday party company to court for using their IP, even when they changed the character names. My favourite is they listed Chewbacca as 'Big Hairy Guy'

Rach

oh hell yeah
