A few years ago I used to make bitters and other infused alcohols (limoncello, orange clove liqueur, etc.) and what killed it for me was doing a small project with my roommate who thought it was so cool he would NOT stop asking me to monetize my hobby. (Side note, was he even aware that you can't just sell alcohol?) Rather than give him the satisfaction, I stopped doing it so people would stop asking me. I don't drink as much anymore so I probably won't go back to it but I find it distressing that it seems like everyone wants you to turn your hobby into a business.
