Devon you are a sweetheart, but it's 'Tove-Flee"

wow I'm jumping around this is a rich episode.... but one thing to consider @ "stupidest discourse" and Dev @ "not a believer in horseshoe theory but" is that misunderstanding or half understanding an ideology with as many buried leads as Marxism, or even taking progressive ideas and not going anywhere deep with them, can lead to really dumb takes like Dev said about "white people invented gender therefore they can't escape it", or "you're white how did you become homeless" which if you're ideologically versed you know Engels relevantly said that analysing the superstructure is basically only relevant in regards to law and economics. and you don't have to preclude reinforcement of hostile cultural reinforcement like microaggression to see it like that

at "have forum power users got influencer type deals?" I'm almost certain it'd happen in car modification/performance forums, one I'm familiar with is a brand named CorkSport scouting out "positive community driven people" in the MazdaSpeed community

also the suggestion was never "join Tumblr" it was "join Tumblr and purge Twitter" which following Muskrat's acquisition.. maybe some people will take that up, who know

Devon you would be delighted to know as someone who doesn't have Twitter I've just today seen a Twitter post from you on Tumblr (Trains Are Real) so it does joyfully go both ways

Choosing to believe the Sumerian dog in a bar joke is the equivalent of ancient loss.jpg; incomprehensible divorced from context

Three Memes in a Trenchcoat

In addition to the other works cited, Paul McCartney apparently heard a melody in a dream, thought it was so good that it must be a song that already existed, couldn't find anyone who recognised it and eventually turned it into 'Yesterday'

Oh hey, I didn’t think y’all would actually answer. I think it would’ve been funny if you’d come to the conclusion that actually you shouldn’t talk about bad takes at all considering the rest of the podcast. XD

Thank you, good pod
