Altman Unbound ft. Jathan Sadowski

Returning champion Jathan Sadowski from the This Machine Kills podcast came on to talk to us about the latest in the tech world, what's going on with AI, and once again concludes that we should just smash up all the servers.

PALESTINE AID LINKS

As the humanitarian crisis continues to unfold in Gaza, we encourage anyone who can to donate to Medical Aid for Palestinians. You can donate using the links below.

https://www.map.org.uk/donate/donate

https://www.savethechildren.org.uk/how-you-can-help/emergencies/gaza-israel-conflict

Currently, Aid is not getting through. You can donate with the knowledge that these funds will be used the instant Aid is allowed into Gaza, but please do make your voice heard in other ways about this. Showing up at protest marches and writing letters to elected MPs are useful acts of solidarity. Please encourage your elected representatives to support calls for a ceasefire, while still bearing in mind a ceasefire is temporary and represents the bare minimum.

He hasn't been taken seriously by anyone with half a brain for years, but until the Twitter deal he still had enough of his 'rock star tech saviour' image that he was getting fawning mentions/cameos on TV, credulous press coverage, sympathetic biographies, etc

I tried to run away from the philosopher king but before I could get halfway, I had to get a quarter of the way. but you'll never guess what happened then

Phoebe I’m very stoned right now but yes the analogy about the rat that only recognizes shapes and colors with regard to one another made sense.

People said Elon was serious about climate change? I suppose he got a lot of credit for Tesla, but it was mostly people I wasn't listening to anyway, so maybe I'm just biased
