EMPOWERED story notes, pt.4

More Empowered story notes from very early on in the series. And now, some quick annotations.

Left-hand column:

*The CENSORED bit probably wasn't all that objectionable, but what the heck.

*Yeahp, that's the Ninjette drinking bit from the beginning of EMP3.

*An early reference to EMP5's joke that the Demonwolf speaks to Emp's mom on the telephone, which is something I really should show directly at some point.

*I'd entirely forgotten about the 4) Thugboy encounter with Willy Pete, which would've been a neat scene to show.

Right-hand column:

*The mayor being "set up" was, of course, a reference to the old Chris Rock bit about former Washington, DC mayor Marion Berry.

*Never quite got around to using the "rebel superheroes" bit, alas.

*Interesting that the Streetfighter II videogame-y bit about Emp's suit sparkling whilst fireballing apparently occurred after the fact, as I had to go back and apply white-out glitter FX to EMP2's existing story "Thuperlame." Come to think of it, this must be the first reference to Emp's suit glittering when it manifests higher-level powers.

*The less said about the second CENSORED bit, the better.
