Just a... sketch that turned into a not sketch as I was trying to render skin and then ended up thinking and thinking and thinking.

Caitriona, above all else, is professional. To her, being the Crown Princess of The Kurtan Empire is a job first and foremost. That is how she sees it. Sewing and designing is her passion, and being the Crown Princess is her day job. Kinda like how sometimes as an artist you have to get a day job and build up your art as a side hustle. Even though Serkan... PISSES her off to the moon and back, she never shirks her duties.

So context for this. I imagine that Serkan does go to war one time, but this time he gets pretty injured or whatever. And it is the duty of the Crown Princess to look out for him. In his mind he’s like, “I’ve messed with her way too many times she would never” but she pulls up ANYWAY. And this is... HIGHLY confusing for Serkan. (Oh don’t get me wrong she is furious through all this cos she’d rather be doing literally anything else instead of tending to some asshole’s wounds but yk how it be 😔 F) and so Serkan does not trust that she has his best interests at heart and he is difficult (won’t take medicine from her, won’t let her deal with his wounds etc etc Bc she may poison him :P he knows he pissed her off THAT bad 😂😂😂) but she has no desire to do that. And he’s so confused he becomes frustrated and asks her about it. And she replies, “I do not ever wish to harm others. Your lack of confidence in me doing the proper thing and caring for your wounds is you acknowledging that, if our roles were indeed switched, you WOULD harm me in my weakest state. I am not so low as to kick a beaten dog.” Yeah and then she finishes what she’s doing and yeets, but Serkan is like.... mind blown. Because she’s right, and for the first time ever he thinks that his mode of thinking is wrong.
