“I Will Save You.”

The moment that Assorra decided that she was going to flip the plot all the way around. How did she come to this decision? Well well, allow me to explain it then. Tldr, she was forced to go to the palace and meet with the crown prince (who I think I said was technically her fiancé but they really don’t like each other lmao. Idk if I said it but if I didn’t now I have) and to be simple, she did not want to do this thing. In the original text, Assorra was always insisting on maintaining her image and engaging in pleasantries even though it often felt like she was going to tear into a million pieces internally. But alas, Sora DOES not care. She WILL stand him up and she WILL not even blink lmao.

Anyway, she was hiding in the garden after arriving, just sitting in some bushes thinking about how everything lowkey sucks, how bugs suck, how its hot as heck, and how the dresses suck bc of how heavy they are, just stewing in her anger as per the usual. But at that moment, she sees Sunny drawing a little flower. And he is just so cute. So sweet. Like a ray of beautiful sunshine. She could literally feel the shit mood that had been building ever since she woke up in Assorra’s body melt away from the rays of wholesomeness. And in that moment of awe and clarity, she remembered who Sumner was in the story, and what his tragic fate was.

What was his tragic fate? He was essentially the “sacrificial lamb”, aka he was a big old plot point. Or more specifically, his death. His death was what shot the plot forward and truly united all the characters in their push against.... the villain and villainess. AKA Assorra.

Anyway, since Sora had no plans on being a villainess this time round, she wasn’t too worried. Also she was not at all afraid of jumping ship if shit hit the fan in a big way so she wasn’t tripping. But it really bothered the hell out of her that this sweet, innocent man would be sacrificed to get the more important characters to finally do something. So Assorra said, “nah fam. Not on my watch.” And so she decided to take action.
