Ok so Siradiou. Yeah he’s mysterious, sexy and etc etc yall know the drill, but that’s just the surface layer. He’s only mysterious because he feels no need to tell humans about himself. They will die relatively soon so its kind of a wasted effort to let people know who he is. He’s sexy bc... i mean, that one’s self-explanatory. What nobody knows is that he’s also extremely bored in general. He’s been alive for a kinda very long time, and the only reason he’s not reclusive and living in some random castle out in the middle of nowhere (mmm... well, he does do this but like, he’s only a third reclusive) is because he actively decided to document human cultures and the rise and fall of kingdoms. This was a very purposeful action because of various reasons, some of which are deeply personal and were not revealed in the original novel to maintain his mysterious handsomeness.

He is also surprisingly playful. If he decides that he wants to get to know a human being personally (which is incredibly rare btw) he starts to poke fun and tease them, mostly to disarm the human. (Why? Well, because he tends to gain an interest in people who are not easily charmed by him. Vampire things or whatever 😂) and it is through this that you get more insight into his personality, and the unexpected problems he struggles with in regards to his immortality and his perception of time and loneliness.

I won’t reveal a whole lot but the reason he has a deep love for wine and anthropology is because these are the few ways he could remain connected to his long-passed humanity. When one becomes a vampire, their humanity slowly erodes over a period of time, and he just... he doesn’t want that. But he also cannot live amongst humans... for obvious reasons (giant, deadly mosquito things)

Anyway my brain is actually split in like 15 different directions so if this doesn’t make sense then I profusely apologize.
