The Only sketch I’ve Done For Like... Weeks Now

Listen. For some reason, I have been doing pieces that are like,,, full illustrations complete with backgrounds and a teeny tiny drop of narrative. I... don’t really know why. I guess that’s just the move for now. That’s fine I guess (narrator voice: it was, in fact, not fine) but this is the first sketch I managed to do in a minute!

Ok so, SIradiou. More about him. He’s a relatively nice, chill guy who likes to stay to the side, watch people do their people things while occasionally offering commentary on their situation. He likes to keep note books on him recording some conversations, names or customs and words he thinks are interesting and memorable. He does this because while he is essentially immortal, it does not mean his memory is infallible. He WILL forget the details of eras and cultures, but he has his notes and that’s great for him.

SIradiou is amiable and tends to get along with everyone (except Sahel), but there ARE things that piss him off. The things that just annoy him are of course, human hubris (normally he thinks that its cute like a kid that thinks they know everything but there are people whose hubris gets ugly real quick), people that become obsessed with him (there are quite a few), people that attempt to manipulate him to play their own little human games (looking at Sumner and Segun’s father lmao) and people who DO NOT RESPECT HIS BOUNDARIES!!! He HAS hurt people over his boundaries being violated, so y e s.

Now, what he truly, genuinely hates and reacts violently to, is when people enter certain spaces. He has a pretty nice, dark, gothic castle that’s over a millennia old. He does not bring too many people into this castle. He lives there mostly alone (yes there are people that help manage the castle and whatever but that’s not important yet), and there are certain rooms,,, that he never lets people in. What is in the room, nobody knows. Anyone who was curious enough to know simply never lived to tell the tale. But because he’s one of the few vampires that interact with people, its become a kind of legend in the areas around the castle. There are many stories of people who wished to prove their bravery meeting a tragic end when they tried to sneak into the castle and see what the vampire is hiding. I wonder what he’s hiding too.
