A Yellow Ball

And it was all Yellow 😔

Anyway let me stop playing real quick. So Idk if like, its been noted, but Assorra always wears shades of purple, specifically dark red-purple colors. All her dresses look like that. I guess that’s just what she likes. But Sora isn’t particularly fond of those colors. She just wore them because she was playing the character “Assorra” up until the mysterious demon from her dream fucked everything up.

After she had the whole thing happen to her, Sora was obviously in shambles and was struggling to hang on to her sense of self. In a very huge effort to retain her individuality, she commissioned a brilliant warm yellow gown for a ball she would attend. It was really shocking because nobody at ALL had ever seen her in anything other than that deep, mature purple. I mean, it just kinda suited her vibe, you know? But fr it suits her vibe so much that I struggled to draw her in anything else. I think I drew her in a green dress once and I was appalled. I guess its the yellow hair and eyes that beckons such a color scheme lmao. ANYWAY!!! So she got this pretty yellow dress which is completely unlike her whole thang, right?

But that’s not the only thing that changes. During the ball, Assorra interacts positively with the other noble ladies, genuinely trying to know them and form connections with them. Ofc the ladies were like, “wtf lmao I don’t trust you” but Sora’s likeable. It’s only a matter of time before they are completely taken by her peculiar humor and general laisez-faire nature. This helped Sora actually get a better grasp of herself because this was one area that Assorra was not able to do. Conversing with the genuine intention to know someone and create an authentic friendship was just not something she did. Sora would feel better talking to others, more like she was able to naturally be herself. It’s an unexpected result cos Sora doesn’t even like talking to people like that anyway.

Whatever. Point is, home girl is styling. There has been a metamorphosis. A change that everyone totes notices. But alas. The change does not only exist within her. Someone else is at the ball too, and he has changed lots as well 👀
