Behold, a pair of Clip Studio Paint sketch sets based on some of the art requests suggested by the fine folks of the $5 tier! (Time for the $3 art request post, looks like.) I'd hoped to add a few scans of older con sketches based on the Devil Kei/ Angel Yuri and Harley Quinn requests, but guess what? My ancient version of Photoshop has suddenly decided it won't import anything but g-d PDFs. Yayyyyy!
UPDATE (11:30am): Photoshop's still borked and will need to be re-installed, looks like, so no con sketch scans; however, I did add a new set of CSP sketches drawn this morning.
A few words:
Cheetah was fun! Also, drew that Iria image from a photo of a statue; wasn't feelin' it on that sketch, alas. Vaguely shocking to see Devil Kei with a heavier, Emp-style physique, but what the heck (pun unintended).

Above is my first time experimenting with the "frames" function in Clip Studio Paint. (We use the term "panels" in American comics, not "frames," so this possibly mangled bit of translation grates on me a tad. At least they didn't refer to word balloons as "word bubbles," thank the Lord.) A slow start, but I'm learning; tried at least four or five new things in the panels above, I'm happy to say.
"D-Darkseid?!" is, for the cognoscenti Of A Certain Age, a ref to the recurring riff from the first Ambush Bug miniseries way back in the day.
The Caitlin image is reffed from a CG render (thong ahoy!), and I gotta say the hair was rather interesting; might revisit that sometime.
Had fun with the mantis, along with my first CSP tests of speed lines. Yay!
Kind of a dashed-off Kate Pryde, TBH. I gather the costume's new enough that not much cosplay's arisen as yet, which is a problem as I like to kill two birds with one stone by life-drawing from cosplay photoref. Oh, well.

Above is a mixed CSP sketch set of life drawings from photoref and studies from other artists' work. Note that I used CSP's symmetry brush to rough out that face at top left; otherwise, if I tried to sketch a straight-on shot like that, my right-hand bias would distort the F outta that face.
Tomorrow: Time for the $5+ tiers' weekly dose of distressed damselhood, though at present I have no idea what I'll be posting for that. Let's find out together at 9:00am EST, shall we?
