(You can check out the previous installment of this story fragment here.)
To repeat from last week: Time for s'more slightly less-than-ideal scans from "Yuri vs. Shortie," another incomplete commissioned story from the early 2000s. (I'm calling it "When Shortie Attacks" to avoid a direct Dirty Pair reference in the post title.)
Not only does this one boast very finished pencil artwork, it's also the closest thing to an in-(my)-continuity "real" DP story as you'll ever see outta these damsel-in-distress commissions, as it deals with problematic aspects of the morphing "smartsuits" worn by Kei and Yuri in Dirty Pair: Run from the Future.
And that's the end of this story fragment, folks! Not sure what I'll post here next week; might do another poll and see what you might be most interested in seeing.
UPDATE: Might as well spoil this 20-year-old story that will never be finished by letting you know that "Shortie" was a Kei clone speedgrown from embryo to the equivalent of a 10-year-old, derived from the Lovely Angels' "backup copy" tissue samples and personality constructs stolen by Kevin J. Sleet back in Dirty Pair: Fatal But Not Serious. Yeahp, had a whole half-serious plotline in mind along these lines, though I wouldn't describe this concept as canonical even to my own idiosyncratic version of the DP.
Tomorrow on this here Patreon: Another bunch of pages from the unpublished story Dirty Pair: Quick & Dirty, looks like.
